Oh Jeez ... I don’t know how I found this ...I used to watch this Channel for a looong time until my shows came on.. especially late nights . 9/21/1996 I was a 6th grader at Carver middle school .. it was an awkward year , missing my friends from elementary school , learning new things .. so many memories coming back
There weren't many Prevue systems with full local ads like this, were there...then again, this was Tulsa, so it's not inconceivable to think that the area's systems were used as test beds for new features.
In the older version of Prevue Guide, if the Amiga running the local listings crashed, either the C-Band listings or sometimes the Tulsa, OK version would be displayed until the machine was back online.
I would have watched Ren and Stimpy, and otherwise, had nothing to do but complain about how much TV sucks. TV has sucked for a long time, and not much has changed culturally in this country since the early '90s. I'd take the 3-5 channels we had back in the '70s, or the weirdly experimental cable of the early '80s over everything that's happened since, any day. The 3-5 channels back in the '70s would still offer more to watch (for me) than anything going on since. I can remember wondering which of 2 or 3 good options, I would want to watch. Now, I have the ability to record several things at once on my DVR, and rarely find anything I'd even bother with. Let's face it. American culture has managed to find a way to go even farther down into the cesspool.
