Not at all. The car in this video never ran exactly right, and after i sold it, the fuel pump failed, so you may wish to check the fuel pressure while you are doing the filter. You tee in the FP tester at the filter location. If it's not up close to 40 psi then go ahead and install a new fuel pump(it's in the tank, in the trunk).
Tyler's Neighborhood Garage. Gotcha, i just got it scanned and it had a fuel pump code. Have you done a fuel pump on these? It seems like it would be a pain
It's located inside the fuel tank, which is in the trunk. Open the trunk, remove the filler panel which is located at the FRONT END of the trunk and the tank and sending unit is staring you in the face. Disconnect the lines, unbolt the sender and remove. The pump is mounted in the sending unit. Don't shortcut ANYTHING since that tank is located inside the trunk on these cars. Good luck.
