And it was on basic cable. Still to this day, able to see pro races that were not produced by the most greedy,---NBC. Ohhhh yea baby! communism is the most greedy entity on the planet.

Man Eckman and Bailey in the booth. 99% of the bikes are 2 strokes. This was my heyday of riding. Thanks for presenting these races

"Those were the days my friend. We thought they'd never end. We sang and danced, for ever and a day. We lived the lives we choose. We thought we'd never lose. For we were young, and sure to have our way" The rest of the song stinks, (Mary Hopkin. Hippy) They gave up all those dreams, and told us to do the same.

"Just a speck of dust"? That depends on how much self esteem we have. :) People also direct the future. I say we take part in that, and rise above the dust again. :)

"Yea, I like racing in the mud.", (said by several racers in post race interviews.). We never hear a racer saying that today. All a privateer has to do today to win a national or SX main,---is get good in the mud. Too lazy and pampered to over water a practice track once every 3 weeks if they don't get enough rain. These guys---were better racers. Sorry kids. You ignored them.

Doug Henry was always a road block out there

Do you mean Doug Henry, who won a National big bike series? By the way, road blocks only exist if you are not talented enough to make the pass.

@@EarthSurferUSA ya its called I cant pass you must be faster
@EarthSurferUSA

@@johnnycash578 Well, you can get stuck behind a guy who is about the same speed. Enter,--the block pass. :) But today, they are 20 mph corners, so block passes tend to be hard collisions.

Buddy Antunez and Jimmy Gaddis were the top 80 riders when I was on an 80....thet were like my idols....Ping rode with them....all Zuke I think perhaps....I chose the '90 RM80....it won the shootout that year....but I raced the '89 KX....it was a beast....

Ping was 100 on a Kawi....

Ping was fast, but he was and is a head case. He thinks more with emotion than real objective thought. Now if you did the best you ever did in 125 SX and ended up 2nd, would you get all hurt about it and quit, or would it be great motivation for you for the next season or the outdoors? Opps,---too industry and bumpy for Ping outdoors. He is a wimp too. Another example of his mixed up brain. He stayed away from the partying of his era, (to his credit IMO). But today, as a so called "adult", he is fantasized by some of the guys interviews, always asking them about their most memorable parties, as if he is living his dysfunctional childhood through them at that time. Weird. Just weird. The guy knows no math, (He writes well, but with a damaged brain), has no skill as he learned nothing but racing, so he had to get a job from the state. Ping is good natured I believe. But he is as confused as the average college graduate of today. He does not understand the "premise" of anything he says, so he is all over the map. Doug in Michigan
