That was a great idea.I think you will like the truck better now with the room, and the winch.Great job.Looking forward to back out in the woods.Bet the dogs are to.
Love seeing ways to use what you have and making it work. No having to go buy high dollar vehicles of equipment to accomplish the same end result. Love your take on overlanding for the average working family.
It's so good to see some new content. Missed your videos. Am thinking of getting some of your prints if they are available. Good to see you again. Take care.
Locktite. Essential for putting together metal items. Keeps them from shaking apart. Learned that living with my ex and when we put together metal beds.
I really enjoy these behind the scenes videos that show us what is involved in making the great camp videos possible. Keep'em coming and we'll keep watching!!!
Wow, what a transformation for that backseat space! The 3D modeling was brilliant. The ease with which this stuff can be repurposed and reconfigured makes it especially appealing. I just scored more used unistrut from the recycle center and have an idea brewing for my rear cargo area. Love these DIY vids, very inspiring!
The front of the old Ford is looking tough! Love the 3D graphic program...smart idea. It’s great watching all the upgrades....thanks for some great ideas!
Jason, I bought my first 4 door truck in 2011. The amount of room in a full size truck is unbelievable. I suggest that if you update in the future, look at at a full size truck. I suggest a Ford, but you buy what you want. Great videos and I’m glad the suv is gone.
While I really love your overlanding vids, my favorites are these type vids. Many of us out here are at this level, getting ready to go. Thanks for not forgetting about us! Keep up the great work my friend!
If you want some more space, check out the bed slide out box/shelves which give you a lot more space to store things. You can even add compartmentalizations, and you still get the upper portion for hauling wood or other gear on top. Like the mind set with the new addition. Organization goes a long way. Like the charging station, that made since. I realling looking forward to your long haul adventure.
Thanks for showing your project, Jason. I wish I had the room you have in your F250. My conversion involves a '16 Jeep Compass as my main concern is economy due to being retired and on a limited budget. My overland trips involve forest roads and other access roads that my vehicle can traverse. I will eventually haul an ATV. I love watching videos like this to acquire some ideas.
Even though I have my big suburban, I can't have people ride with me. All the back seats are down for my gear and the dogs, and then I always have stuff in the front passenger seat. Such a pain! I would love to put some sort of drawer system in the back. Nice work!
I love your videos because you take your dogs. I do worry that there are no tethers for the dogs. If you hit the brakes with the dogs that high they will go flying. I use the seatbelt tethers but not sure what you can use with this setup. Still liked the video. Just a thought.
Very well done there my friend. I think that system is going to work very well for you. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us. Have fun out there and stay safe and healthy.
Glad to see you've solved some of your space issues. I also bet you enjoy more leg room in the Ford. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you on the road one of these days 👍
great idea, keeping all your gear out of sight aswell, the only thing i would personaly add would be some sort of dog guard, heaven forbid you should have to break sharpley or get unexpectedley hung up on a rock off road, with your buddies being that high up you could end up with one or 2 of them on the font seats with you.
Can you not or did you ever have roof bars / roof box I'm looking at getting one the bigger 1s take a shit load of kit . Keep these outdoor adventures going man
Great setup to store all equipments plus am sure the dogs would love it hehe. Looks forward to see your future trips. Are u putting the ref in the truck bed??
Nice I like it! Hey...maybe I missed it but why the Kia go back? Was it a sponsor type situation? I have a Tacoma I'm trying to get all set up to hit the trails. I'm here...or will be here in Prineville as soon as I finish up work in Portland. Look forward meeting you and some of the others in this group of like minded people. 👍
Seems like the dogs are going to be sitting up too high. If you have to slam on the brakes, they're going to end up in the front seat, and possibly injured. Have you thought about how you'll protect them, not to mention you.
Hi Jason: This May not be related to This video but I have to ask. I’m looking to buy a RTT you promoted one the Ikamper but it leaked then you got the CVT does this one leek and is it common for them to leak at all?
Agree, need to use some of the old seat or seat belt anchor points to secure a leash tether for the dogs' safety while in transit. Good job to maximize space efficiency. I am a fan of unistrut and 80/20 aluminum extrusion for building stuff.
