It looks like someone was trying to make a camper out of the box portion lol

We have these in Canada, albeit with bigger box sizes. They're called the Isuzu NPR and GMC W series.

09:20 - That's usually a feature for Fire Engines. Assuming that Japan has some dire engine versions of this, that's will leave the doors open like that so they can get in quickly as possible and also avoid possible injury while rushing.

You see these occasionally in the UK. They're rare though, the Cabstar sold better and even that was fairly uncommon.

Actually Isuzus like those are incredibly popular here in the USA. Sometimes sold as GMCs and Chevys. We call them NPR, NRR and NQR.

but most of them are powered by Cummins, so they all suck. Not even a single Japanese Isuzu diesel engine like the 4JJ1 set foot in the United States.

@@montesa35 wrong only the large ftr have cummins in them and that only happened recently. All the n series had inline 4 cylinder 4HK1. I am literally sitting in one as I type this.

*** you could also get them with a GM 6.0L vortec gas engine but that wasn’t nearly as popular.

If converted to Left Hand Drive if it’s tilted cabin, change the seats and handbrake position too.

If someone were to purchase one of these in North America, how easy (or difficult) would it be to get replacement parts?

As the new owner in Canada I am curious/concerned about this too. I thought the truck was too cool not to try though :)

I seen the split rim tires done correctly. Its just tire people with zero commen sence that happens to p.s I was a tire man. The four-wheel drive button on the dash might be the differential lock
@bobbyswampfox
@bobbyswampfox 2 года назад
I have one of these trucks too but a camper version I swapped out all the tires myself after a lot of research and preparation. I am not a tire guy but these split rings aren't as bad as the split rims or so I read. I have a video up of it The 4wd bottom just activates the 4wd and you lock the hubs and you're all set. The transfer case has two settings 2H/4H are the same position and it drops to 4L when you pull it down. They are awesome!

The smaller rear wheels allow the loading height to be lower. Or is it the 4WD aspect that is confusing?
@loudcatcher13A
@loudcatcher13A 3 года назад
@@tighep 4wd aspect
@tighep
@tighep 3 года назад
@@loudcatcher13A A smaller diameter wheel will be turning faster than a large one. So there must be some sort of gearing that allows the rear end to spin faster than the front end. If one were to install the same size wheels front and back, the back wheels would be trying to push the front end of the truck along (when in 4wd) This is something I did not consider when buying the truck but I am glad Derek pointed it out.
