When these first came out I was in graduate school, poor as dirt. I wanted this exact color/year. By the time I could afford it the Hayabusa just came out and the ZX11 was no longer in production. So I bought a 2000 Busa. Many bikes later I now ride a mildly flashed and modded Kawi H2SX with 220 rwhp. Still love the ZX11.
My buddy has the ZX6 from this time. It looks very similar, and with a full Vance & Hines exhaust it accelerates like a modern 600 despite being quite heavy. Interestingly, with the stock exhaust it was very tame. The 11 with that exhaust must be an absolute animal.
What a beautiful bike. Shame they don’t make them anymore like that. The ergonomics are great. The wind protection is spot on . The headlights on these are amazing. The stock exhausts is decent. You don’t need any accessories on this bike unlike buying a new bike.
even though for around 30 years i was a suzuki rider i always liked the zx11d. now i have been riding a zx14r for 2 years and love it. not much done to it other than a K&N filter, Delkevic 18" oval slip-ons with the DB KILLERS removed and a MOORE MAFIA Tuned ECU. makes 200rwhp(198 but thats close enough for me to call it 200 lol). i still keep my eyes open for a zx11 that i can pick up.
@@3.0_Chase it’s super fuckin fast and from what I can figure out not very good with tight turns might just be me be extremely careful it’s ok to be scared to go full throttle don’t do it till you’re ok and do it in a higher gear so you aren’t getting all the torque respect the machine above everything don’t ever think you have it tamed because you don’t
If anyone knows a sports bike circa 1991-1993 with small round twin rear lights please let me know, could've been a Suzuki but I'm not sure. I've looked through Google but couldn't find anything
My ZX11 does not have those clear turn signals. OEM is yellow as standard. Chinesium is White. And both front and rear are clear. YUCCKKKKK.......hope at least an amber bulb is installed. I went LED's on mine with a flasher unit and LED's are available in Red, Yellow, White and other colors.
The ZX11 is plenty fast. I know my 96D is w FP jet kit, ZZR1200 ceramic coated header, BMC Air filter, Dyna Coils left to install and currently installing Hyper Pro Street box shock kit . Have LSL bar kit on it w heated grips. It rocks , but my ZX14 was a brute but put way to much heat off. My H2 SX SE is on another level. However I am keeping the ZX11, wished I had kept my XX as well.
