Absolutely review that other truck!!! I love old “real trucks” as much as Rams! That N14 sounds real good! My brother runs a 2016 Pete 379 with Fitzgerald Glider package (98’ Cummins). Paper logs, chrome stacks, and chicken lights. That truck is beautiful and is one of the last things that remind me of American Freedom. Oh and the jakes will keep you awake lol.
Nice truck. N14 is a good motor all in all minus a few quirks. My rule of thumb though on overhauls is if there ain't paperwork it wasn't overhauled. Obviously this isn't true for all cases but that's the rule I go by when purchasing.
I like what you’re saying. I’d like an 86” studio W900L with an N14, 18spd, 3.42 Meritor rears. Currently running a 2013 Lonestar with ISX, 13 spd, Meritor rears. Not a bad truck. Pretty decent truck for a 13 letter shit spreader.
Kenworth is a nice truck , my friends run East West Canada only they drive a new truck every two years or less , I’ve seen the Freightliner they have and they just got a new 2022 model , I was big on studio Kenworth trucks but now I’m sold on these new plastic Freightliners , the interior design is up to date the leather seats make it so easy to relax the head room is fit for a guy my height , I’m sorry to say I’d rather get a new Freight liner every two years then have the same old Kenworth. For 10 years , please have an open mind when talking trucks because there is good and bad in all trucks Kenworth is still a top name but for comfort I do like the Freightliner thank you all the best take care my trucker friend trucker Kelly .
@@repairvehicle it’s repairs ware and tare that’s be avoided , after two years any truck starts falling apart I had a studio Kenworth it had a really high front grill , it was a nice truck one of the best I drove but I see why my friends that run team get the new truck when things start going I think those trucks are all leased and the work they get and miles the company can afford it JR Hall does really well the drivers have good insurance packages and excellent pay I know this because I’ve been in the business for over 30 years .
Nothing tops the W900L with the VIT interior with the Seattle interior package-and the Studio Sleeper. 24 tires for big rigs are hard to come by. Even the largest tire company in.the Mid South is having a hard time getting 24s.
Wish I could drive this truck. Likely soon going back to a Spokane-based company though with plastic trucks and automatic transmissions, make enough money to buy an older truck. I haven't had the joy of manual transmissions since 2020. 😟
An N14 is not a mechanical engine. It is designed from the prior NTC. 3 separate heads, non over head cam and 855 cubic inch block. But is an electronic engine. And yes, I agree, there is no sound like an old N14. I love them!
@PD Diesel Power , I was planning to switch my trucks to fumoto valve, but now I will keep using the bolt. Thanks for sharing this in your video. Your videos have been very helpful.
Those 2 old beastly 900s are REAL trucks keep them they’ll go on and on and on and on. Compared to that absolute garbage plastic emissions messes. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
If new trucks are garbage and done at 500k miles. Then why people dump older emissions free trucks for new trucks with emissions? Are these people don't have any brains or new trucks really better than older emissions free?
