Thank you! Yeah these rx300’s are amazing! But I haven’t had any issues yet, I’ve probably had them in for around twelve thousand miles and no issues with alignment or anything loosening or bending and I’ve haven’t been nice to the suspension. I’m not sure if it reduces the longevity of the suspensions life but driving on washboard dirt roads and all the other stuff isn’t helping either haha
Very cool!! Should last you many more years!! I can’t remember the brand name exactly but it’s a half width cargo basket just off of Amazon with a six foot by eight foot awning, it may have been an arksen cargo basket. then I have the kayaks racks on the driver side. But the cargo basket has been awesome especially if you have a bed setup inside the car. Such a great little camping vehicle!
Yours looks mean! Super sick! Did you fabricate your own stuff to get 3 inches of lift? Would love to see a close up walk around of your RX and see exactly what you did.
I found these wheels on the method wheels website but there are a couple different offsets. If you know the offset of these could you please let me know? I’m trying to get this exact setup for my ‘03 rx300!
Very cool! Love seeing these old RX’s all setup! These wheels were a et30. The only problem I ran into was the small little cap on the wheels wouldn’t fit on the front because the cv axle end was a bit long but I just run them with no little hub cap but the back ones which fit have fallen off too hahah , but I think they sell replacement caps that have a spacer or that are more concaved. But good luck! With your setup!
Ok awesome! I’ll get them ordered, when I do I’ll ask about a taller cap too. Thanks for the heads up on that. And yea I like seeing them setup too! It’s honestly such a good car for the money. I use mine as a daily and it’s super comfortable, couldn’t ask for more. Keeps the miles off my nice truck that I use for towing so it’s perfect. I’m the second owner of this one, my grandma bought it new in ‘03 off the lot! I’m currently running 225/70r16 Toyo AT3’s on it, but these are getting pretty worn so once these are finished off I’ll order some 235/70’s for the new rims. Should be sweet!
Looks awesome! Is the spacer on the wheel or on the strut? Also if it’s the wheel what size wheel spacers and if it is the struts what size for front and back? Looks awesome! I just bout a 2000 awd and looking to do the same set up! Thanks!
Thank you! Heck yeah! Really underrated car in the awd market. But I only use a 2 inch strut spacer which probably gave me a little less than an inch of height. I thought about using wheel spacers but never did cause I read on some forums that they can put extra stress on the steering/ suspension components and even break stuff so I figured I would go with a smaller tire and more off-road/rough road reliability. But the wide stance does look cool haha
2012 highlander struts with the rx300 strut mounts (tops) give about 1.5" to 1.75"s of lift. 2.5 is about the max you can go until you need to come up with subframe spacers. The highlander struts also give your back tires more room, and then wheel spacers aren't needed for a bigger/ wider tire
@@craws_ak awesome! Thanks for sharing!! I read this on a forum and also saw another rx300 lifted that used highlander struts also, he had commented on this video previously and said he got three inches off them in the back but really appreciate you sharing! The RX’s look amazing with just a few more inches off the ground! Would be well worth it
I am not sure sorry, I run 235/70/ r16 and it fits with no issues but It is pretty close. there are a few forums I stumbled upon in the past that may help. Some rx300 stuff on the clublexus forum if I can find them I’ll let you know. Good luck! Would love to see it though!!
Not in the back. I have the 235/70r16 all terrain tires, lik3 this guy and that's max. The rear struts have almost no room left before it starts rubbing. 2 inch wheel spacers or different offset wheels would be needed
I have the same exact car and she is so hard on gas. The full tanks only takes me around 200 Kms. I replaced the 6 spark plugs, ignition coils, air filter, the 2 air fuel sensor. I have cleaned the MAF sensor and added a fuel system cleaner to fuel as well. Still very hard on gas. I love the car so much but this problem makes me hate the car and I want to get rid of it. What do you think?
I found the wheels and tires on OfferUp! Got really lucky and a sweet deal but they are available online. these ones in particular have a offset of et30.
