1999 Mercedes-Benz E320 Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour 

This was my first car ever when I was 17 years old in 2008. The greatest hand me down car ever. I will forever miss it and i loved it dearly. Thanks for the memories

This Mercedes Model and year is very reliable I have seen them with 400,000 or more starts right up, bulletproof when it comes to reliability, service them properly you will have a awesome vehicle.

I see these on the road today next to 2011, 2012, even 2013 model cars and it fits right in still. If you put a GPS with Bluetooth in this car it's practically a brand new vehicle by TODAY'S standards. Amazing.

This is badass for a 99'....ahead of it's time and even had more hp and more torque than my 21' Camry... definitely want this as a weekend toy to zip around in!

I had one of these in 1998-1999. My Step daughter got knocked up in the back seat of this car when she borrowed it to go to prom. ahhhh good memories....

I think my father had the 2001 model, unfortunately the engine got destroyed in hurricane sandy. It was great for all these years, hardly any problems. Biggest problem was someone broke in to steal the radio, and the axle broke when he hit a pothole

I've had this same vehicle since 2020 and it's amazing . So ahead of its time. As any Mercedes they are pricey to maintain if u take it to the shop it will be at least $1,000+ a pop . But this vehicle is a tank feels like you're gliding on a boat I love it and solid on gas 21 city 30 high way ! Also one of the few unleaded Mercedes vehicles

You have to see the facelift too, it's an amzing car. My dad has one and this car is so great. Now it has 250.000km and is much better than some asian cars with 20.000km.

Yep, this is when Merc's were built properly and they were actually reliable. At the time ours was built in 2000 Mercedes were cutting down on the coats of paint to save money, so they gave it a 9 year bodywork warranty. Something which I'm sure they would never do today. We took advantage of the warranty and had some minor rust repaired on the rear doors. Mechanically it was excellent, when we sold it it had 96,000 miles on it and it ran like brand new, shame new Merc's aren't the same

I own this car so beautiful comfortable and solid. I drove this when my kids were little, elementary school, they would just sink into the seats and were so happy and quiet, surprisingly. My youngest drives it now and he is in his last year of college. About 125K miles on it and I still love it.

We used to have a 2000 E320 CDI, and boy could that car move, it was fast as hell. Sounded nice aswell

MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT THE LADY CLAIMED THAT THE TRANNY WAS NOT SHIFTING, GOT IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND COME TO FIND OUT TRANNY WAS LEAKING FLUID FROM MAIN SEAL, GOT IT FIXED FOR $600 CAR RUNS AND DRIVES SMOOTH AND ITS THE BEST CAR I EVER OWNED.

One thing you failed to mention is on that Center armrest in the rear is a first aid kit that is what that Green Cross is about

Get a 2000 - 2002, the facelift makes a big difference imo. I have a 2000 E320 4matic 155k miles and it's awesome. Shop around and you can find a great one for no more than $10k at the absolute most. Plenty decent ones to be had for $5k. One of the best bang for buck used cars out right now imo. The 90s S class is a good deal too but this looks more modern.

My Dad had this. Since it was a second hand vehicle and had 2 previous owners, it gave him alot of problems so he was forced to sell this and took a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer (EXT). He still misses this car.

@talldude123 My 1999 Chrysler has an Automatic drivers window. During the 90's Auto windows were just more common on luxury and higher trim level cars, instead of today where they are on most cars.

Hey Kyle, I was wondering if this Mercedes has a Casette player. If so, where is it?? And how does the horn sound? Does it have that unpleasant sound like Japanesse small cars (older Mercedes have that sound but I´m not sure abouth this one)?

@Josephalosaurus It's both a security measure and cost saving. They just need enough to move the cars and do short test drives. Most dealers fill the tank after you purchase.

I normally love your videos, however this one had a lot of beeping during the start up which was hard on the ears and therefore made it so I was not able to hear the motor. Generally you do a clip of the motor starting up in the interior and exterior but this time it was only interior. Please remember that your videos normally have more sound effects and are better, because you give so much detail, but this one was missing some engine detail that I really wanted to hear.
