after the recent rule changes , modern style looks actually mostly the same as this old one. The 12-16 era was the worst. It was the result of the bad rule set combined with the introduction of electronic scoring
its not a robbery are you a real taekwondo jin ? that is included to the rules and regulation . you didnt see? the man in the red armor is just going back and not fighting? youre such and idiot
Red the winner aku juga atlet taekwondo namaku cahyati yuliani. Makasih ya. Salam buat romi ismail pelatih lho juga lawanku dulu dari dumai fan natuna. Ya
So the rules in 1999 had 6 gyeong-go result in a DQ? Nowadays it's 5 gam-jeom and you lose the round (with score and penalties resetting every round) and it's not uncommon to see people with the lead evading engagement at the end of a round if they have a few to burn off. I wish WT would make passivity or lack of engagement worth a gam-jeom AND a gyeong-go in the last 20 seconds of a round to cut down on people who just run out of bounds. Do it twice and you've accrued 3 out of the max 5 penalty points.
@@GoldMedalSaginaw But I guess they're playing by the rules to win the game... The game is just different now and those athletes just play this game... It's the organization who changed the rules too much, and now we have this transvestite of a sport! It s a shame what this sport is become too saddenly!
Nah red shouldve won. The ref was being to strict one the tactical retreat, sometimes the only way to kick is to move back to make room. I hate to say this. But this is bullshit. Red put up a fight that deserved a gold honestly.
Agreed. And speaking from experience, as a shorter fighter you can’t always stay close to shut down the opponent, you have to move back. Thanks for watching
@@GoldMedalSaginaw as an impartial viewer I think you won handily, in the past people would only remember medal record but thanks to online video we can remember the performance, and that was a great performance
@@GoldMedalSaginaw no! it was stupidity on the part of the Red guy, he knows the rules and he knows he is leading and he knows they are close to finish the match. He gave away his win.
True! But his backing up wasn’t delaying or avoiding the fight, which is supposed to be the reason for the kyungo, I think the point deductions were given a little prematurely. However you’re right, as a defensive fighter he should have paid attention better. Thanks for watching
@@RedPumarius the way of the fist and the kick I know. It's point sparring I guess there's limited punching coz kicks fetch more points and punching in this scenario leaves you vulnerable to counters using kicks which is an advantage to the opponent. Maybe you'd find ITF style more entertaining or even Olympic style karate
