thanks man but honestly it was skateboarders who managed to get rid of skating off tv for the past 20 years because of their out right disgust an hate for the sport , this was due to skating taking their limelight during the 90s and the skateboarders being a bit older so they made it so much harder for the young in-liners to enjoy and do and the fact they kept calling every skater Gay! as stupid as it sounds this is th reason it died out, during covid was a resurection if you noticed a lot of old skaters came out this brought some new kids and we are finally back on track and making a big come back , i dont mean to go at you but felt trigged when i read your comment felt so hypocritical but i know not all you skateboarders meant or act the same i work in a skatepark and love the whole scene now , bmxers, skateboarders all pushing together !stay bless keep rolling
@@STUNNERGASKEN2013 Dude, it was the industry that pushed the hate, which yes, was taken up by a lot of skateboarders back in the day, but for the most part that's behind us now, a bit of scooters being the easiest thing to ride and taking the heat, but also general attitude changing, for the most part it's not what you ride but how you ride it. Yes, it sucked for us back in the day, but don't carry that hate onwards to today. Sure, you felt triggered or whatever but your comment is directing a life of frustration to someone who commented nothing but positivity towards bladers.
I remember skating as a pre-teen and just being on a vert ramp and looking down was scary. It took years just to drop into it.These guys really don't get true credit for what they do. It is tough and scarier than it looks. Anyone criticizing this sport needs to strap on some skates and stand on one of these beast ramps.
I had trouble even with ramps half this size when I rollerbladed, I never tried a vert ramp and probably never will. I have not skated in a long time (nearly 5 years). I never got to this high level and would probably injure myself badly one of these. Or I would probably have a heart attack as soon as I look down.
your suppose to pump from the bottom fool. i think lack of training is the biggest problem and lack of online training. enough with these tops 10s and other joke videos they should at least make a comprehensive guide. like that bloody ricado lino and his bloody rubbish videos. he's not even one of us hes a bloody speed skater. you know those freaks that wear leggings and race around the track. i had to learn the basics off figure skaters cos there is no proper inline training. glad i got injured during this corona virus outbreak cos as if i would have stopped. really like the jogging track here cos its like 100 km of hill n just like no traffic you dont need to brake, walked 5 hours on the track once and did not see the end of it. but it's real technical with steep hills with sharp turns on it. n when im working on jumps and grinds i like to do 3 sets of 12 with 30 seconds rest (like a gym workout), so you do 12 frontside grinds then 30 seconds rest and do 3 sets and you'll get good at it.
Wow just unlocking memories that are so nostalgic! Hearing these names again, the vibes and the energy! Us late 80’s kids had the last great childhood before things went bust
back then we had never seen anything like it too and i recall watching it as a young kid like glued to the TV when it come on and i used to always watch it with my grandfather all the time.
Never comment on videos but this brought back such memories..Chris Edwards is wearing a pipe dreams skatepark which was our tiny house lil local in buffalo ny area.. we were all so excited to see it live!!
Props to the inspiring one ........ Having the enjoyment or as i should say honer to see an amazing blader who not just spellbound others who loved and lived for the sport or pastime to take your mind off life in the hectic world we live in by doing aggressive rollerblading... i got to witness the ability and talent of one who not just gave the devoted half pipe bladers a run for their money but stamped his place as one of the best in street and park skating whether that was in a major comp somewhere around the world or just in his home town ...When being there and watching him as i did and study every movement while grinding or doing a air with great style with ease while being in his own moment doing amazing things that at time looked like it came out of the blue but fit the run or section of the park as if it was pre planned for years with such precision and dedication that left you in a state of ore.. of how someone can do such defeats so easy and with style... he made me love the sport even more because i knew thats what i wanted to do and hope to achieve with the awesome ability to be able to master two boots with wheels on my feet feeling like you could jump off or slide across any man made structure or natural obstacles that presented its self in your way with tricks that would blow the minds of those who witnessed ...and to hold such rain for over a long period of time and was far beyond those around him with freakish stunts that i got to see when he was in his own element or time without pressure of comps or limits but freely blading that went unrecorded in the moments of time.. just for great memories of those lucky enough to witness ....and when you love and live for something like blading and you get or see such greats doing unbelievable things in the world you love and for me that world was aggressive rollerblading..it was something i cherish and will always be grateful of seeing one of those greats who was one of the best ........Matt Salerno ...............and hey Matt if you ever read this thanks for the inspiration and memories .....cheers mate
Man it sucks that they removed Rollerbladding. We basically built X games into what it was and they turn around and remove the sport. Just to think that rollerblading at this time was just starting to reach its pinnacle in that the tech back then was really basic in terms of skate design and what was achievable. I truly believe that we would see a much more progressive rollerblading today if they never removed the sport basically i feel that rollerblading was gimped massively and that because of this we have not seen rollerblading at its peak yet. i mean just go watch what the yasutoko brothers can do now.
That girl screaming after every trick drives me crazy. Why the hell would you scream like your being stabbed? Anyway, I miss inline at the x games. Bring it back please. Get rid of motox quarter pipe, best whip and include inline vert and big air
Yo that girl is absolutely insane. Either that or she’s never seen a trick before and was screaming because she thought they were always going to crash lol
Weird how in-line hype died after us 90’s kids got old. It’s a shame, coz it should be as strong as skateboarding or bmx. I don’t think I can even buy a new pair locally, if I wanted to get back into it. I hope it trends back again
Man this has all but died and been replaced by scooters at skateparks. In-line skaters used to be everywhere at skateparks in the early 00s and you never saw a scooter kid. Now, it’s all scooter kids with the occasional roller blader or actual roller skater. A roller blader is different than an in-line skater, at least in-line skaters did tricks instead or riding up and down ramps. Shit, I even had a pair of K2s back in the day and had decent fun doing some in-line runs if skateboarding was just not going my way that day. Skates were really fun when hitting the foam pit.
there's still some inline skaters but yeah your right scooters everywhere and i don't have an issue with the kids who know what they are doing but damn man those little kids who snake you piss me off especially when their stupid parents who dont do shit. im teaching my kids to skate
They mic'd up the coping back in the day, the delay was probably due to the crappy tech of the day. But their also did seem to be sound fx added in post to the airs in the finals...
