199th LIB SoCal Reunion 

Glad you guys made it home, hope you are all well. I was with the 198th Light Infantry Brigade October 1968 to October 1969.

Alan (cameraman and owner of this channel) was my dad. I'm not going to get into any of PTSD's impact from individual to individual... ...but I will express gratitude for everybody who coordinates and shows up to these meet ups. To me, these meetups seemed to be one of the rare times he felt more at ease in his skin. Around men who shared his experience and post-war struggle. We (his family) were "civies" as he put it. We couldn't help, because we "couldn't possibly understand" and he didn't want to "pass his burden to his children." But you guys understood. You gave him a certain level of peace when he was with you that he couldn't get even at home. So thank you for doing these meetups, and giving each other even a brief moment comfort.

We miss you Uncle Joe!, Thank God for the memories.

Bill Tidd was with the 199th 69-70 firebase blackhorse, he was an MP, anyone remember him? Him and Jim Finney from Indianapolis IN.

My brother Eddie (Edward) was 199th in '66-'67. He was a sergeant.

My dad was with this unit 68 to 69 he was a tunnel rat and was at the tet offensive. Randy graham is his name does anyone of you know him.

Did anyone serve with Jimmy Dearman? He served 1966-67 and was in Echo Company.

g. Rutherford, during my time, 67-68, thru TET, until may 68, just after ous Capt.South, "bit-the Bullet, May 68. was "Rat" until abt., April 68 when I was put to 'running-resupply" back and forth, "night-scopes" also. Maybe before. even got to "meet" Gen.-Westmorland, at that airbase we had to go into during TeT. Anyhow, a "fine-time' was had by us all, best as I can "make-myself' recall.! Got to go, you all "take-care" best ya can. You All take care, best ya can. -Gene-O-.
