This involves beating 1A without dashing or dying, to get the (deathless) golden berry and the (dashless) winged golden berry. The 1UP comes from collecting 6 berries in quick succession, which means I need 4 additional red berries. There's 8 (?) red berries that are collectable dashless in 1A.
If you spend more than I think 7 frames on the ground, a red berry will be collected. Note that this only refers to solid ground, not things like moving platforms. This is why I am constantly jumping or grabbing walls, as I need to avoid collecting red berries until the end. Since there are 8 available, and I need 4 to get the 1UP, I essentially have a buffer of 4 berries.
This was a really easy challenge, probably like 3ag difficulty (although my sense of standard list golden difficulty is nigh non-existent.) That being said, this sucked. It only took a couple of hours but it's really not fun. Every room is either completely free or basically RNG and there's almost no in between. All the hard inputs are either subpixel dependent or completely normalised. Coffee jump is like the only actually interesting part of the run. If it weren't for the pseudo-RNG though I think I'd enjoy this a lot more.
