People saying 20psi is too much clearly know zilch about tuning diesels and its shows. Sounds awesome mate, id love to put an FT in my HZJ79 once the old 1HZ gives up the ghost 😂

@@MK2ryana89 good on him. But I'd be very careful not to press the pedal too hard if I had 20 psi on my turbo. Last thing you want is a cooked motor in the bush.
@@og8k haha mate, there’s people running mid 30psi out of these with no issues. These motors in a marine application can produce ridiculous figures for their age. A well set up 1hdft running 20psi is extremely reliable
Sounds so good, love the vid despite the sound sync issue. Have you turned up the pump at all? Seems quite loaded when cold revved haha. But not a bad thing
Cheers man :), pump and injectors where rebuilt/modified to DC3 spec by Diesel Central. It's currently tuned for engine run in/break in, sooo, its a slug haha
@@MK2ryana89 Thanks Andy, I have a 70 series Prado in the UK with a 2.4. I really want a 4.2 six. Yours is the ideal engine. I get about 11L/100km if I nurse it and keep it on the motorway. 14.5L is about the average of mine so that is the decision made!
@@MK2ryana89 Mine is a Japanese import in the UK, getting really rare now as they never sold them here. It is a tight squeeze as the nose is shorter but it can be done.
