Do you like the way that you can sub a cigarette out on horsehide without causing any damage to the leather. We wore horsehide jeans when we were burning the stubble and we just left the embers to burn out on our jeans.
i love the way horsehide wrinkles and shapes, but i don't like the extreme shine at all. is there a way to get/make them in a dulled down matte shine (not suede of course, just a very mellow matte shine)
@@Andy_C0 I love leather, the texture, the draping. I also like shine, but more of a subtle matte shine, rather than the strong gloss as many horse hides come in. I know I am in a fussy and kind of living in the narrow band, but you gotta know what you want. Anyway, with some chemistry and engineering I got my (cow hide) pants to have exactly that matte sheen I was looking for. New favourite pants!
@@Andy_C0 Yes true, it's all just a matter of personal preference. I indeed like very thick leather that does not have any draping motion and a very subtle matte sheen (more like coated jeans) and I prefer them more dark gray than pure black. But I managed to process some cowhide jeans to achieve exactly the look and then tailored them to my figure. Never loved a piece of clothing more :D
@@Andy_C0 thats great! indeed, we are a rare breed already, no need to get lost in details. but yeah, i think many more people (esp guys) would love to wear more leather, but because dumb stereotypes, "that one friends episode" and general lack of courage, they don't - which is a shame. but i must say, at least here in Switzerland, in the past two years the general idea of "wear your true self" seems to get hold more and finally more and more guys seem to dare wearing leather pants as well... see it daily now, compared to almost never a few years ago.
@@Andy_C0 Yeah, they are really much more comfortable than people think. The Friends episode was really written by people who never tried leather pants haha. I also never had any negative comments. I occasionally get a "nicee pants/outfit" from someone, but thats about it. My wife likes them, she thinks they suit my style in general really well. And I think she has a point, I am always dressed in black only, mostly combat style boots etc. It just fits in well. I have even given huge (toward a thousand people lecture hall) lectures at Uni wearing "my normal" outfit and no one ever said I should wear a suit a tie :D
Our pre books for spring closed, but we will have extras. keep an eye on our gram, youtube or theshopvancouver.com . you can wear em for anything youd like
They'll be suitable if you like being in leather like that, and seen in leather like that! I wear leather jeans with a vinyl puffer jacket which feel great together.
hey what about the lining. cotton or polycotton. which is better? i am reading about it now and what i have read is that cotton wrinkles and can shrink leather clothes. is it right? which is better for movement. polycotton or cotton or something else? not satin or polyester cos that sticks and gets moisture and it is cold. what about stretch leather. is it any good?
