I ordered the 1s but was sent the 2s by mistake, kept the 2s and I love it. I fly outside all around my house, diving under trees and such, so happy with it. I had a 1s analog years ago and you get bord real quick flying in the house. Love I have something to fly outside of my house and not worried to crash into stuff that I can break it like a standard freestyle/race drone if I run into a window or my car :) . I ordered like 20 batties 450, 95c. Last maybe about 2 min a flight,

Did this myself when Walksnail launched the 1S VTX, I actually built a 2S Whoop expecting it to handle the weight better, but despite the extra power it never felt agile enough in the small spaces of indoors. I switched to a 1S setup and was surprised that it felt better in every way and I didn’t even lose much flight time.

I bought the 2s at rampage bc it's all you had left lol and it ripped the micro area just fine. Was tons of fun.But when I got home I can definitely see the 1 s would be better for small areas.

You guys hit it right on the money... HD under 250G ...AND low weight/reasonable performance/reliability... AND plug and play is what a lot of us want as remote ID and other regulations tighten.

Flight Times? Only thing missing from this I would have liked to know. I'm still analog so so neither version is my cup of tea, but I still would have liked to know what you can get flying them that hard. And what you could get just cruising.

I think part of what makes it controllable indoors and what makes it feel small is how well it carries its weight. Or in this case, doesn't. Attaching something to give the 1s quad some more air resistance would probably slow it down and make it better for smaller spaces. Kind of like a flu flu arrow, you could glue a feather or 2 on each of the rear ducts going down and out.

Been flying 2s whoops for more than 3 years now and the secret for it to be amazing is the battery : I make 2s lipos from Tattu 1s 220mah, they weigh 11,5g which is lighter than a 1s 450mah. If RotorRiot could get Tattu to make these, it would be a game changer.

you are on to something... maybe get one of these to Nick Burns as he has great "reach" in the micro community... and even influences some of Happy Model's updates.... he might well influence Tattu also.

I was on Vanny's side with not liking 1s for sooo long, then i got the newer mobula7 elrs 1s, with the x12 flight controller, and its in the air about 60% of the time i fly, and i love flying all my drones. Its just fun factor x93738

2s is great if you want to fly outside or indoors with the same drone but it definitely depends on the person flying.

Being a beginner personally I really enjoy 2s just because of flight time. My 1s just seems like right after I take off I'm blinded by the low battery font!

So 2s has a better battery life? Because I might be getting into this hobby. I ordered a emax ez pilot to learn but people say flight time is onlt 3-6 mins. And if I end up liking fpv and get another drone, I really want battery life.

Love the 2s for playground flying. In Cali there are parks in every subdivision. I can walk to 5 or 6 different parks in 5 min. From my house. Jungle Jim's with no kids and you are in. For the house the 1s is way more nimble but it gets boring in a hurry.

I just built an open prop 3d printed 65mm 1s ripper but it has the betafpv cetus x f4 aio which can take 2s but id prob have to take the motor output down cause I'm running 1s 19k kv newbeedrone flow motors. Do you guys have a cli pid dump you could share for the tune of the 1s version. Is Tyler sharing that info? Good video guys. I went to FL to take my kids to disney but didnt have time to stop by. Wish i had of. Ltr

There is a purity to 1s... but 2s fills in all the gaps in power... I think 2s for HD, if needed for voltage, sucks to brown out on a punch out... but maybe 2s 300mah or 1s 550 mah... do you need that cap on the xt30? Personally something about the whole 1s thing... I dig it.

The New Formula is Voltage to Weight Ratio. Make a 1.5S -1950Kv for the sweet spot.

I think that anything 75mm or lower needs to be 1S in my opinion. Once you hit 85mm 2S is money.

Ok, so if I wanted to purchase a small first time flyer drone to fly around the outside and inside of my house to learn fpv which one would you suggest and how do I go about purchasing it. I have had camera drones for 2 years now and I want to fpv. 90 % of the time I am just flying my camera drone and not taking pictures with it. I just like to fly.

2s ftw! But then again it depends on the room and pilot skill. At the end of the day, its all translatable to better skills in larger quads. Main thing is to keep your same rates for what ever drone you fly!!

Every 1s whoop ive flown has motor twitch issues once the battery goes below 4v. Ive tried 3 mob7's and a Meteor75 which all suffer from extreme sag and low voltage issues... When i went 2s after these issues i loved whoops all over again. If someone could point me at a 1s board/bnf that doesnt have issues like described, id grab one as soon as i could.

To be fair, most professional pilots prefer 5" due to it's performance, but vanny flies anything from tiny quads to massive quads. Just because someone doesn't enjoy micros as much as a bigger quad doesn't mean they're against it

1s lipos are just garbage though. Even the good ones. Thr best I found are whatever tinywhoop put their brand on. Even then I buy a pack of 8 every 6 months... definitly get a new set for the start of igow
