1st 1000 Miles On My New 2024 4Runner! Plus Blackout Emblem Kit! 

I did the same, oil changed at 1,000 miles. Once again, (I've had a lot of new cars), I had to argue with the service manager, (all Toyota), to get the oil change. No need, they keep saying. They say, it's, old school, I've been driving since I was 15, 65 years ago, I'll stick with old school.

@@philipashley9723 Local Toyota dealer did 1000 mile oil / filter change on my '24 Limited, without any hassle. I did not want / need a tire rotation, so according to the dealer, I have lost the first tire rotation service as he won't "go backwards" on the service plan on a future visit. I have one more oil change / tire rotation left on the service plan - interesting how the Toyota claim of 10,000 mile oil change interval means that they will only do two oil changes / tire rotations. It's foolish to think you don't need to do a 1000 mile oil change on a new engine, and equally foolish to think you can regularly go 10,000 miles between oil changes on a vehicle used as a daily driver.

@@bobhayes8750 I actually paid for my first 1,000 mile oil change. I will have the tyre swap done, and free Toyota oil change done at 6,000 miles.

@@macscvelopopperdonuts2169 I have a new '24 Limited and I have never been able to get the truck remote started with the fob. I have, however, remote started it from my cell phone with the Toyota app. I can remote start it and get the air conditioning or heating going, though IIRC as soon as you open the door it will shut off - theft protection or safety issue I suppose. But still useful for heating / cooling the interior ahead of time if you and the truck have cell phone access. You have to have the climate controls set up ahead of time - you can't manipulate the climate controls remotely. If you remote start the truck, it turns itself off after 30 minutes. I believe I can remote start / stop and lock/unlock the vehicle from literally anywhere in the world using the Toyota app. The app remote start may require some data access permissions you don't want to enable - the '24 4Runner is essentially a smart phone on wheels and reports everything you can possibly imagine to Toyota and whoever they give/sell the info to, including insurance companies unless you go through a lot of hassle to disable it - but of course they have intertwined the data they report and use for their purposes with the services you actually want, so they pretty much coerce you into enabling everything. And the remote start / toyota app may require connected services which is free for a period after the purchase but eventually Toyota wants more $$ - $80 / year currently.

I tried the fob remote start while standing next to the 4Runner and pushing slowly and it did start after flashing the turn signals several times. If you have to be close to the truck to get the fob within range, it sort of defeats the purpose - it's a small matter to just get in the car to start it anyway.

Yes, this really helped prevent the blinding of people when I adjusted my headlights. There are good videos out there that will show how this is done.
