Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was also a dictator. The former prime minister hides the real history from this generation. We always knew the real history but we were not allowed to talk about that. And welcome to Bangladesh
@@hellonoitsfine9681 awww....what a bullshit explanation 🤣😂🤣 you shut up Dalal 😂🤣really?? Who loves him ?? Only Hindustan Dalals loves him not real Bangladeshis ... understand, you better understand 😡😡
@@hellonoitsfine9681 Hasina was in power for 16 years for abuse of power. She was in power by stealing votes. What happened now? Why did you run away like a thief? If it was better, she would have had the courage to face the people. Everyone now knows their story. These threats will not continue.
Our foundling father is not Mujib, our nation father is Hazrat Ibrahim ( A.) got it. Mujib and his daughter is a dictator rular and did injustice to Bangladesh and Bangladeshi people. Love u brother for visit a new Bangladesh ❤❤❤❤.
Steve actually many people dislikes Sheikh Mujib because of his poor leadership during his regime (1972-1975).He tried to make one party country. He banned all political parties. In 1974 there was a famine in Bangladesh and 30000+ people were died by starving. On the other hand at the same time he spent millions during his son's wedding. His party's leader looted and tortured too many people. But he didn’t take a single step. This is the reason he was killed in a military coup during 1975. There’s a English documentary on RU-vid about 1974 Bangladesh Famine.
crazy. see those things nobody told me before the revolution. it was just always saying he is the highly respected father of the nation. so of course i guessed he most of the times did good. thanks for the documentary tip - will check it out!
@@stevelooong You say "Father of the nation" to Sheikh Mujib!!! I agree with you, but can you please study about him? Because he was the "first dictator" of Bangladesh, who banned all political party (except his party) at that time.
Yeah I guess, when a nation faced world most deadliest strom in 1970 and fought for independence after 1 year and got many resources looted and lost will never face fimine 2 or 3 years later . Like bro , is even that make sense?
Due to sheikh hasina'w tyranny, some people also started disliking sheikh mujib, but he is the founding father of the nation, he was a good person, he ruled for 3 years, he was a great leader but not a good ruler, because of his mis management and giving power to wrong people many bad things happened during his time.. his leadership was necessary for this country's independence, but he should've done a better job as a ruler... but the boy said that people in general don't like him, that is not true, that's just some other party's propaganda... Mujib will always be an integral part of our history...
Many people don't like Sheikh Mujib because he became a dictator after independence. Only because of him more than 27 thousand people died in 1974 famine (actually more). Also he coined a term called 'Bakshal' which makes him head of the country for life. It would have happened. For these reasons, the Army killed him in 1975
wrong most bangladeshis revere mujib independence but yes we dont like his famine but we cant deny people love him or else hasina wouldnt be in power for 16 yars
Steve you are truly a big hearted person. European and Western culture and values liberal and open minded, These aspects of mutual respect and cooperation appeal to me very much. We don't want flashy infrastructure luxury lifestyle like in Europe or the West. We want to build a beautiful and healthy society with an admirable mindset like yours and a fusion of our own culture and values.
Thank you so much steve. You have become a citizen of Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh are more friendy. You have become now a friend of ourd.Take love
Sheikh Mujib played a significant role in our Liberation War, like many other political leaders. His legacy could have been glorious, but his attempts to establish autocratic rule, especially during the time when the country was barely recovering, tarnished it. As the country suffered, many were relieved when news of his death broke. Under Sheikh Hasina’s leadership, critical voices were silenced, with books discussing Sheikh Mujib’s rule or criticizing the Sheikh family being banned. There was even a law, now abolished, that threatened jail time for criticizing the family. Freedom of expression was stifled, and praise for Sheikh Mujib seemed orchestrated by Sheikh Hasina, who altered history textbooks to fit her narrative. After 16 years of a dictatorial government distorting history, people start believing in the manipulation, questioning anything that doesn't align with her version of events. The people always knew her father was a fascist, but fear kept them silent. However, after all hell broke loose-when she killed so many youths simply for demanding their rights-anger erupted. No one was afraid anymore. Stories about her atrocities began to spread, and with it, the truth about her father's oppressive rule came pouring in. This anger is understandable. On one hand, she committed atrocities, while on the other, she glorified her father. A mother sold her child for 7,000 taka just to survive, while Hasina built a 400 crore taka statue of her father. Every infrastructure, every establishment glorifying him, stands as a symbol of her rule's excesses while the people suffered. Once she fell, her narrative was bound to collapse as well.
Just stumbled here while randomly surfing. Though your channel name is hilarious. But as a tourist, donating blood for the flood victims is indeed a great gesture of solidarity one can show at an epic crisis.
If we have to respect Sheikh Mujib then we should respect Mir Zafar too. But Mir Zafar lost his honor due to treachery. Similarly, after 1971, Sheikh Mujib lost the respect of the people of Bangladesh. This is history! Bitter truth history.
As a parson he only want leadership and money but yeah he done a great job to independent Bangladesh but as person he only want to be the prime minister and after independent he done many bad thing you can see in real history
Hi Steve.. Welcome back to new Bangladesh. We suffered a lot during dictator Hasina regime. Now we are free and have freedom of speech. We will make a new Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is full of incredibly creative people, they only need principled leadership to make bigger difference. Much appreciation for pointing out all the good stuff 👏🏻
Muzib till 1971 was the greatest leader Bangladesh could have dreamt of at that time. But after the independence he tried to do the same thing that his daughter dictator Hasina did from 1971 to 1975. He was trying to create a dictatorship just like his daughter but was unsuccessful because you can never put handcuffs on a nation that fought for it's independence just 3 years ago. People's blood was still hot as fu*k.
No man, her father was the same, her father built "baksal" which is kind of like, one party one leader. He(sheikh mujib)will be the leader forever. He always wanted money and frame. He didn't even want Bangladesh to be independent. If u read the actual history of 1971 to 1975 you'll know about him.The people of 70s always criticise mujib for his bad leadership. He was so addicted to money. If someone said anything bad about him or criticized about his leadership he killed them. There's a famine on his time, almost 27000 people died, and then he interviewed on a tv channel about this, and he said "only 27000 people died bcz we take proper care" 27000 people are not a number in his opinion. We have taught wrong history all the time, sheikh hasina always say good about her and her father so she hide all of her father's fault. If someone say something about her she killed them like her father. And it's a normal thought that how can a daughter be so cruel If her father was an angel?
Sheikh Mujib was not the founding father. He was forcefully portrayed to be the founding father of Bangladeshi. He deliberately didn’t want to liberate Bangladesh. In fact , he had just surrendered to the Pakistani army, went to Pakistani jail n got vip treatment. There are other contributors like major Zia, mawlana vashani, and some more who truly worked for the independence of this nation. Thank you Steve for all the love for our country ❤
hey. okey wow. before the revolution whenever i asked people about Sheikh Mujib or Hasina - i got more or less only positive feedback. it´s super interesting to hear now the other side of the medal. thanks for sharing :)

You can say whatever you want. But who gave the declaration of independence . Bashani , Zia will not ever be succsessful if there was no mujib . You always need a leader to guide .
Ok , if he was not the leader what about the election of 70 ? Why your peyara pakistan did not gave the presidency to him? oh , I forgot , according to you , they wanted to treat mujib as VIP . They tried to treat him as VIP , when they raped our sisters and killed our brothers on our land? hipocracy on its peak........
Heeeyy Steeveee... Welcome Back Man... I don't know why but you don't seem like a guy from outside just trying to visit.. I always feel like you're our own... You feel so close man. Hope this time you have wonderful time. Cheers man... 🤍
Bro you're already a Bangladeshi❤️🇧🇩,All you need is to live in our country forever so we can share our sorrows, sufferings and Happiness with you❤,Take love
Sheikh Mujib was the first dictator... Her daughter was just on the way as her father... Sheikh Mujib didn’t want to free our country. He wanted to be the president of East Pakistan. He charged that. If Pakistan government agreed with his decision, he never declared for freedom... Pakistani disagreed and then he decided to make East Pakistan free from them and he would be the president of Independent Bangladesh.. And he became president... Then he ordered to stop all the newspapers and banned all other opposite parties... He was corrupted and as a result in 1974 we faced so many problems that people couldn’t even get food... Why should we respect them??? We get our freedom by 30lakhs life. He was in jail.. What did he do??? He made Bangladesh as a state of India... A founding father should have all of these??? If it is possible then he is our founding father... But I wont agree with.
thanks for sharing. as mentioned before, the last yeas i was in BD nobody ever said anything bad about him. all those infos i am hearing for the first time.
@@stevelooong We didn’t have right to say anything... We knew if we say anything against them then we would be killed or kidnapped... And Sheikh Hasina banned all the newspapers of 1971-1975 and all the novels which were against them... That's why we only knew what she wanted to make us know... I knew maximum of these because I read a lot of book's pdf. But now everyone know the truth...
@@stevelooong The reason you didn't get to hear any of these when you came during Ramadan cause people were afraid to speak the truth, and the truth would have ended up getting them killed or tortured in Aynghor (the House of Mirrors), a torture cell.
There was no founding father. He was a dictator from 1972-75, that made Mujib killed in a military coup. 1975 there was another people revolution in 1975.
You Don't even know us but still you are donating blood and money for the flood victims 🥹. This part made me emotional 😅. Thanks brother, take love from FENI, BANGLADESH 💓
Steve, I really get where you are coming from. But here are some backgrounds that must be understood. So,here they are. Bangabandhu Shekh Mujibur Rahman is our founding father. His role in our independence is unquestionable. But the problem is, he was not the only one who had huge roles in the liberation war or the development of the nation. But, to give him a cult status or a god like appearance, every other member, be they politician or civil society members, were kind of written off or were not even given mentions as side roles in our history books in the past decades. If you look at the media coverage, newspapers or history books that were published in the last decades, you will see this attempt to make him somewhat akin to god in every sector. Be it agriculture, finance, food, health, industry- you name it, you see a plan of Sekh Mujibur Rahman regarding every thing. Now for a great leader like him, this can be expected. But, surely he hadn’t done or planned all of that alone. But, the associates were not even mentioned anywhere. I will give an example. On his 100th birth anniversary, Bangladesh declared “ Mujib Borso( Mujib year)”. He is our founding father. There is no issue in celebrating that. But it was in 2020. People in Bangladesh started getting effected by Covid since late January. But the govt. did not give lockdown until his birthday celebration ended which is absurd, considering people were already dying and the lock down was effective before our independence day ( 26th march) which is just weeks away from his birthday. So, definitely covid situation was out of control even when his birthday was being celebrated. This was just one instance were entire nation was ignored and kind of force to celebrate his personal achievements in stead of dealing with the present dire situation. Like I already mentioned, history was rewritten multiple times in this period, most absurd one being who declared independence. So, since I was a child, I have read and known that the official declaration come from Mejor Zia but his statement beings with, “ I, major zia,on behalf of Shekh Mujibur Rahman, declires Bangladesh as a free and independent country”. I can’t remember the exact words but it was something alone the lines. But Major Zia become an opposition leader in the later years and was also a part of the army leaders during the death (murder) of Shekh Mujirbur Rahman. So, what do the Shekh Hasina do? She changed every book and source available to say that, Mujib, himself declared the independence on the night of 25th March during Operation Search light. He had anticipated this attack and therefore had a radio transistor in his house, so he can declare the independence. This is absurd in so many levels because nobody has heard about this before 2012 ( after hasina got power in 2009). Most importantly, when the official statement says”on behalf of” then what was the need to do all of this. This whole situation was just an example on the desperate attempts made by the previous govt. to make our founding father into a super hero. For the past 4 years, there was a daily telecast on every channel to provide information on what heroics deed or work the father of the nation did on that specific day. It seems like his has done something unthinkably brilliant on every day of the year. And he never had any other accomplice in doing any of that. In an attempt to make him a super hero or a god like figure, the previous govt. had tarnished his reputation as a human. He was a great leader. He sacrificed a lot for our nation. And most important he had the most crucial role in freeing and building us, Bangladesh. That man should get the respect of every bangladeshi regardless of their political views. But unfortunately, his daughter has made sure that he is remembered as an “awami league leader” first and not as “father of the nation”, which is really sad.
wow thanks for sharing all those infos. super interesting what you saying. i will try to even dig a little deeper and fully understand the whole history :)
Listen Steve shek mujib is the first dictator of BD. But mujib before liberation of BD was a perfect and iconic leader but after liberation he transformed to dictator. I advice u to read some book about truce history of BD which is not corrupted by hasina
