Its actually a Soft-roader... Intense offroading cannot be done in it as it lacks Low Gear ratios, Proper 4x4 and also Wheel Articulation being a Monocoque chassis... Nevertheless, it still takes most of the things easily and also provides You good Comfort & Safety at the same time. Ground Clearance is also good so some of the worries are also not there.
After oil change, i have seen oil drips on floor. That is from right side of engine bottom. What would be the reason. I'm not using regularly.. Weekly once we use. So we start vehicle and leave ot for 5-10 min.. During that time i notice small patch of oil drops on floor at right side of engine bottom.
Truly said... But as the videos were shot frm sm distance, the major sound of the XUV was not recorded properly hence I hv to add external music to it. Maybe next time will provide the video with original sound... Thanks for the feedback 🙏👍
Lets see the changes one can expect from the soon to be launched XUV : - The name itself can get changed to XUV 700 (for a 7 Seater and XUV 500 for a probable 5 Seater) - Body Dimensions may get increased in the New XUV - Engine Power & Performance will be tuned up both in Petrol & Diesel. Petrol maybe 2.0 L with 190 BHP and Diesel can be 2.2 L with 180 BHP. Current gen XUV is having 2.2 L Diesel with 155 BHP ! - Can have multiple Safety & Convenience features which maybe again Segment first like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System), Floating Touchscreen Instrument Panel (like Merc), AWD (All Wheel Drive), etc. - Design & Aesthetics will be completely New instead of just a Facelift like the current XUVs. - Prices although will be very attractive but can expect to be higher than current Models for XUV 700... All in All will be targetting New Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar (7 Str variants).

U r probably very keen to buy 1 SUV soon or Have one which U r trying to utilize to its full potential 😉 Well, the Overall feedback is quite good abt XUV & I m one of the satisfied Customers of Mahindra since 2014 !!! Anyways, let Me try to reply to ur queries : 1) Its definitely worth to buy an AWD as U hv tht additional advantage over other 2WDs in some tricky situations. Who wud not like to take d SUV to sm Adventurous Trips ? 😍 2) Maintainence Cost totally depends upon ur Driving style and how frequent or religiously U follow the Service schedules (2WD or 4WD may not matter). Normal Servicing of XUV costs Me around Rs.10,000 at the max (Mahindra is still cheap in Parts cost). I get my Car serviced at every 10,000 kms & its still running as New. 3) Tyre Rotation is applicable for every Car which has a high running as it is good for having an even wear & tear and better life of each Tyres. Based upon the driving pattern, every Tyre has to be rotated at around 20-25,000 kms. 4) Well, technically speaking its actually recommended to change all the 4 tyres in one go in any AWD vehicle. Worn out tyres attract frequent engaging of AWD as the power is continuously sent to the tyres which maybe slipping due to low traction. On a lighter note, 2 Robust All-Terrain Tyres and 2 Worn out Tyres in XUV will certainly not look gud 😂 5) I am very much satisfied and having a gud experience wid my W8 AWD as it just serves Me well whenever & wherever I want it to. As most of Us are not going to be hardcore Off-Roaders in our regular usage but still wud like to tame some terrains, AWD just does the bit and maintains the fun !!! 6) Depending upon my driving style (Maintaining speed limits, avoiding unnecessary clutch usage or sudden braking and in a mix of both City & Highway driving), I attain 13-14 kmpl on an average. Highway Drives have even touched 16-18 kmpl & thts highly commendable as the behemoth weighs close to 2.5 Tonnes !!! I hope I hd provided some solution to ur queries. Overall its a gud Car wid lots of bells & whistles and an all round performer I must say. Its the 4th year for my XUV and in the videos U can find out tht its still worthy of each & everythng 😀
