These are some of my favorite modern horns that you can see while railfanning. Majority of the remaining ones are on Early Union Pacific SD70ACes, but they can be found on BNSF "Thundercab" ACes, KCS ACes (most of these are now K5LAs), NS’s now retired SD70M-2s, and the CN ACes.

I too miss hearing these early K5LLA horns, heard them mainly on the NS SD70M-2. It's a shame what NS did when they purged their 6-axle EMD fleet and many other locos, they got rid of the sole of their railway.

That’s completely wrong. Most KCS ACE’s have K5LA’s, and it’s harder to find K5LLA’s on KCS ACE’s because most of the K5LLA’s have been replaced with K5LA’s. . I see KCS on a daily basis trust me.
