"I get it now...you're the one aren't you? You're Spike. Julia was always talking about you; your eyes are different colors. I remember her saying that...Said you'd get a strange feeling if you kept looking straight into his eyes..."
-Where'd you meet her? Where was she? - Right on the corner bar stool. She'd slip in when I wasn't looking. She'd ask me to play the same song everytime she came in. Strange lilting tune.. and then she would smile.. oh what a smile.. so sad. So beautiful.
The sax player is amazing. She can make the sax sound like the visceral guttural screams of a woman crying out with all the pain in the world, and also make it sound like the sweetest most gentle caress.
The additional sound effects are spot on. I can literally see bomb exploding on a dark distant planet. This might be the most precise cover of that track of all others.
I love how the audience is a bit talkative at first and then when they realize what they are listening to regardless if they know the song or not they shut the hell up…..this is such a powerful song
Space Lion is such a beautiful song...it gets said a lot about a bunch of different music but this piece is definitely one I want played at my funeral/wake
So movingly beautiful- for me it’s both wistfully happy and sad, the tears flow every time. Powerful. What is the English translation of words being chanted, please? Thank you… 🗾❤️🔥🌌
Woot! I did the 1.000th like! With that said, this song hits me on such a deep level, soul piercing kind of level. Such a beautiful piece that I have often listened to help calm myself before bed. These episodes I have found as I have gotten older, I have come to appreciate more, and brings new realizations. Mushroom Samba will always be my favorite episode, but this song will always be my favorite.
If I never hear another single note of music again in my life, I will not be missing much. This is breathtakingly beautiful. I would love to make love to a woman with this playing in the background by my performance would have to be so spectacular I could never live up to such a standard.
