Basic walk-around video to share more of an overview of my build.
I am the first person in North America to put a twin screw supercharger on a Skyactiv motor!
In this case a 2016 Mazda 6 Touring, putting out about 300bhp/265whp, good enough to get the 0-60 to 5.7sec (vs. 7.6sec originally).
Biggest surprise of the supercharger is that it is very fuel efficient! (36mpg freeway, 26mpg in-town, regular mixed drive to work 30mpg avg) Now the most fuel efficient 300bhp engine I know of!

Definitely keep us all updated on how this ages, and how it holds up down the line. If this holds up, I might supercharge my CX-5 in a few years lol

I have a 2018 Mada 6 turbo Grand Touring Reserve that I bought new. I now have just over 25k miles on it. Love it. All white leather interior. I am thinking about adding a super charger to it. Question: are the kits bolt on? And what is the cost?

all in it's around $4000, well worth it IMO for completely transforming the driving experience, without having to buy a different car that is less fuel efficient than this is even with the supercharger!

Nice update man....and I noticed that you front hood has hood struts, which is not available for Malaysia n spec cars...would definitely want to install hood struts for my wife's car

Ya I just found them on Ebay, I made sure to get the kind that is a pair, so even if one fails it's still usable. I'd link to the ones I got but they are no longer listed, but there are many others that look the same, I think I paid 50usd, a little annoying to install but worth it!

Nice M6Ninja, can you provide a link on where to purchase that supercharger? I have a 2020 Mazda CX-30 and am thinking of doing the same. Ya, my Mazda is also lots of fun on the corners ( oversteer ). Great handling cars and you don’t have to spend a fortune.

they were some cheap ebay ones, I wish they lifted it a little higher, but they were cheap. Also I made sure to get the kind that are two struts as it seemed more stable to me

Custom tune using MazdaEdit Finally got a the tune fully worked out with Justin from MazdaSauceTuning@gmail.com, all just through remote tuning (data log email logs, get new revision, data log again, email logs, get another revision, etc.)

Very nice setup! It almost looks stock. For fuel economy are you using actual mileage or the numbers the car is giving you?

mpg is from what the computer tells me when I turn off the car (but I periodically calculate the miles driven/ gallons when filling up, and the computer is within a couple tenths) Realistically I have a lead foot, so I often only get 23-26mpg, but if I'm driving normally I'll regularly get 30mpg in mixed driving, and freeway I can easily get 400+ miles from a tank

@@M6Ninja very cool. My car lies to me about my MPG and says I have 700-800 miles a tank when I realistically am getting around 350 miles(all highway). Before boost it would get around 600 a tank all highway miles. I'm glad to see someone actually doing real performance mods to their 3rd gen 6. Keep it up bro!

Anything have to be done to the fuel system aside from a tune? The stock injectors can push enough fuel?

Very interesting to hear about your front swaybar setup. My '15 Mazda 2 had an endlink break and I had no front swaybar for a week or so, and I didn't notice any of the negatives I'd heard about (unpredictability, etc.) Also curious if this charger would work with the 1.5L skyactiv g. I've seen it on your 2.5 and another 2.0...

unfortunately I only know of a kit for 2.0L or 2.5L Ya, I'm convinced that Mazda chassis tuning is such that even without FSB it is very manageable, though it will oversteer when pushed really hard

Just remote tuned the ECU very much like I did before the supercharger. Included in the kit is a base tune. I'm in the midst of working on a custom tune from DRTuned to extract more power...

@@M6Ninja that's awesome, I contacted the company yesterday after seeing this, im seriously thinking of doing this to my cx-5 gt awd setup give it some more get up and go. At least they remote tune It to get started, it's the only concern I had. Since they don't use PayPal, you had no issues with the bank transfer app they use ?

in the summer, once I get some stickier tires I'm going to do some 0-60 pulls (my A/S tires just break loose too easily to get a solid run under 6 seconds) Best I pulled last summer was a 5.7s 0-60 but it's hard to not spin the tires in 1st gear LOL
