So many people don't try out kpop in general to see if they like it because it's in a different language and they like sticking with music that they can understand. Which is understandable and there's nothing wrong with that. But something I've learned as a musician is that music is universal. The vibe of a song is just as important as the lyrics. I play wordless sheet music and I've literally gotten chills and in tears because of a few pieces (ahem go listen to Into the Silent Land. It's about the Sandy Hook Shooting. It's intense as hell when you actually play it). I always listen to and watch the MVs without the subtitles when they are first released. Then I go back and get the lyrics through the subtitles.
yeah, bts shares so many different emotions in their music that you don’t need to understand the lyrics to be able to get the meaning/vibe of the song. :)
Like many ARMY said, it seem like dynamite is like a trap lmao... Once people think dynamite is interesting, like or not, people would naturally want to check out their music videos n music.... Their music videos are just on another level but the live performances on award shows and at their concerts are out of this world. Their concerts go on for nearly 3 hrs and each song flows into the next, it's like you're watching a musical play, nothing like it and fans are willing to pay crazy money to attend them. Unfortunately COVID-19 put a stop to their 2020 world tour :(.

My favorite music video is I Need U (original version). Be warned though... if you like it it will start a spiral into the rabbit hole that is the BTS Universe (a fictional story that is told through their music videos that starts with the I Need U music video). My favorite song though that has a music video is probably Danger! Both songs are amazing!

If you love video editing and cinematography... you may want to check out some of their more 'cinematic' videos. There is actually another MV for this song which is literally movie quality - it has a decent amount of CGI. Fake Love is a great song and there are mostly practical effects with very little CGI and it's impressive. Blood Sweat and Tears is a bit older but the visual style is so cohesive and interesting. They usually make short videos showing the shooting and production of their videos.
Yes, I find the Behind the scene videos so interesting like Mic drop, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Save Me which was done in 1 take! Things you thought were CGI aren't always.
@@aameetingspodcast - BTS have been performing on Jimmy Fallon every day this week. Please check them out singing IDOL live in front of a palace in modern traditional Korean hanboks. It was a fabulous performance. They also did Black Swan and the setting was magical.
If you love this then you should definitely check out their other MVs. I think "Fake Love" and "Blood, Sweat and Tears" are masterpieces. I personally think their Live Performances are just epic. No one can put on a show like they can. When you're ready you gotta check out their MMA 2019 performance. They basically turned the award show into their mini concert. Yes someone dunno BTS will just curious on what makes them to this level now, they are not having this since day one, they work as hard as u imagine, some members of them start as a trainee in korea since 2009, and all 7 members debuted in 2013, they worked for a small agency and no buget and people look down on them, but with their humble, hard working, and talented music & dancing, they made it what they are today.. Yes, I totally understand you, I'm publicist and what this boys are doing is an other level of engagement, creativity and a big etc... And I checked others kpop groups and no one have this synergy and authenticity, maybe some have the fashion, choreography, the effects in a near level but with time you will see the enormous difference between. Pace yourself....BTS releases a ton of material....we find it hard to keep up sometimes and you already have 7 years of material to catch up on...you will not run out of things to react to but if you try to do it all quickly you will never sleep.

This is the very first video I’ve seen of BTS performed, though I’ve heard about the group awhile back from my nephew, And I was blown away, I thought to myself “Wow, this is World Class, No wonder they are famous”. Since then I got hooked.
It was interesting hearing your perspective with your interest in video making :) and thanks for trying to keep track of the lyrics. I’d say you were ok with missing some lyrics for this song since it doesn’t massively connect with too many of their songs but once you get deeper into their music you’ll have to pay attention to their lyrics cos they tell a story. One of my favorites is Mic Drop! It’s impossible to pick a favorite song tho since their music is so diverse. Their Tiny desk concert was another one that pretty awesome.. shows you how good they are live and has a different vibe to it . IMO. Love watching people react to them for the first time, I have not seen one yet that wasn’t surprised at what they can do.

It has very deep lyrics and it's a sad song, so you will enjoy it. I don't recommend "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" yet though, as that's probably the most confusing song and music video they've ever made, lol. It's great, but it requires explanation video to understand, for sure. It has many literature references.
For BTS they are all over the genres with they're songs you'll find HipHop,RnB,Rap,edm. everything you could think og these guys have a song in that style.

Just want to let you know they reproduce what they do in the MVs live on stage and its just as awesome. They are an amazing group of really fine young men who deserve all the accolades they get and more. Their music speaks to everyone all ages, races and genders and best of all no half naked women twerking, moving and deep lyrics for most of their songs and virtually no profanity (erm cept for AgustD's and RMs mixed tapes lol). They offer something for everyone and I am so glad they found me. Just so you know their range for fans Im a 67yr old grandmother from Australia. As regards best MV for me Blood, Sweat and Tears is so hard to go past for the asthetic of the actual MV. But in reality they have sooooooo many amazing songs and MVs also later you need to check out their live performances and also their performances on MMA and MAMA awards shows. Oh forgot to mention Save Me it was done in one shot which for an MV is amazing. I think you are falling down the BTS rabbithole so welcome come join us in enjoying everything the guys offer and just so you know they are some of the funniest guys on the planet, so humble and very respectful.

Just discovered your reactions. The major difference between On and Dynamite is that Dymanite was created to make the world feel good - not typical of their music. It was one they did not write or produce which is rare for them and their first all English song. In saying that, their music is extremely eclectic. I would suggest you react to videos that tell you about the members and their journey. They have not had an easy ride to the top - they received a lot of hate early on, even death threats, but they remained true to themselves and their music. I have been ARMY (their fan base name) since they debuted in 2013. As for music, I recommend Mic Drop (Steve aioki remix) - more hip hop, Fake Love - great MV - just a heads up No CGI, Spring Day - a ballad that’s has remained in the charts in Korea since its release - has a lot of meaning for a lot of people. Another good one to watch live version is House of Cards - more a R&B vibe. There are so many and many form part of the Bangtan Universe storyline - yep there is a whole fictional storyline that runs through all of their MV’s. We;come to the rabbit hole that is Kpop! If you are just stun by their insane dances and visuals, you are not there yet, check their lyrics and theory out (there are songs explain) and of course how much pain and hardtime they have been through, you will love them even more. Btw, They still live together as a team even though they are billionare now. The elders still cook for the youngsters.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but this was all filmed with drones which is how they got the cool overhead and in and out shots. You should check out Blood Sweat and Tears. It's an amazing song and the video is gorgeous and tells an amazing story. Great reaction! Welcome to the Army!
For the visuals & concept i think you might like Fake Love. And Mic Drop for the beat. :) This one is based on a True tragedy, oppression & hope- Spring Day, you can watch the music video first and then please also watch the Explanation video (and maybe prepare some napkin too). I would agree that 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima is top tier BTS MV... but I personally love "Fake Love", "Spring Day", "Blood Sweat & Tears", and "Mic Drop - Steve Aoki Remix" just as much. If you endeavor to venture further into the BTS rabbit hole, know that during their HYYH and Wings era, a lot their music videos are part of their larger Bangtan Universe (or the BU) which tells a whole story that spans over multiple music videos -- including their Japanese versions of their MVs-- stage/concert VCRs, prologues, highlight reels, a webtoon series, a separate notes series that are novels long at this point and the story is not even over yet. Oh, and they're coming out with a interactive game that is set in the BU later this month! I know it might be somewhat daunting and the story itself is a bit on the darker side but it's super intense and very well thought out. So, just in case you decide you want to watch every single one of their MVs, just know that some of them are interconnected. Anyway, I just wanted to say welcome to the world of k-pop. If you watched this again, watch the official MV. Esoteric to the max. I had to watch Kinetic Manifesto (as well as the live performance of it) several times, plus watch a DKDKTV explanation before I really began to understand the MV. OH. And there's commentary from an English Priest on RU-vidr "Korean Englishman" that helped as well ... (she said all with an evil little laugh) 💜
Personal Opinion: ON, the video you've just watched, is one of their best. Blood Sweat & Tears & Not Today are also some favorite videos. My favorite performance is Dionysus from the 2019 Melon Music Awards. The video is actually 37 minutes long but if you start at time stamp 27;00 that's where the Dionysus performance begins. It's the best performance I've ever seen in my life.
