The first Traditional Nama wedding in South Africa in decades - with all the bells and whistles - takes place in the Northern Cape's Richterveld. It's a colourful affair that lasts three days.. For more news, visit: www.sabc.co.za/...
I'm proud of them, honestly speaking I also told myself to take pride of my culture as I belong to the amaBhaca tribe which many people hardly know about, they would classify me as a Xhosa while I'm not
I do not get you, because Amabhaca,AbaThembu,AmaMpondomise,Amaxesibe,AmaBomvana,AmaHlubi,AmaGcaleka,AmaMpondo,AmaMfengu. All these tribes are under Xhosa Kingdom.
@@w.s1097 We're all technically from there, though. And technically, many South African black people have 20% or above nama/San/Khoi DNA, Some with even 45%. Now take that there is a strong chance many who call themselves Nama may be bantu and European mixed in with a bit of nama (maybe 15%) what do you have to say about that?
@@w.s1097 And one has to consider this. The Tribes in SA only exist in SA and are native to SA(and Zim), therefore you can't say this individual is from CA when that isn't the case also accounting for how information on genes comes out every year on genotypes. Therefore your argument is inconclusive from only that one statement. They may have ancestry in CA, but done research, you may have ancestry there too.
@@PureAbsurdist Please when you place an argument to discredit so called coloured south africans heritage get your facts right. Also dont try legitimize so called africans from CA right to be here with false narratives their dna have long been shown to originate from there whilst the coloureds DNA thought mixed still has the highest nama khoi/ bushmen makers on average some as high as 98%. Higher than any so called black african. Where are Sarah Baartmans Henry die strand loper Krotoa tribesmen and did you know Jan van riebeeck came to the Cape and left without ever seeing a Xhosa Zulu Shotho Tshwana Pedi Venda or any so called black Arican. In fact here's some history for you the Dutch settlers where in the cape for 120 years before they met the first so called black Aricans. By that time many of them had married and had children with the nama/khoi/san/bushmen.
@@PureAbsurdist Thats why coloureds have the most mixed DNA markers in the world they met the settlers first. Not the other tribes and mixed with them the most. Why cause they were here first. Its makes sense doesn't it.If the Other tribes where here first they would have had the highest % of mixed genes cause they would have dealt with them the longest. So no its the so called coloureds that is why the Khoi San language is so prominent in Afrikaans and Xhosa and Zulu. Vasco da gama also met the khoi khoi first not the Bantu speaking tribes. Now you understand why coloureds are so mixed because of their interaction with the settlers in the longest and the most cause they where here first. Don't get your facts wrong and dont quote fact and history out of contacts. Cause then it's pointless. And ask the Bantu speaking tribes. Where they come from and who they found here you'll get the same answer from there elders too. Coloured people shouldn't have to choose between their European and African heritage and should not be crucified for embracing both nor does their mixed heritage discredit their first nation status. It only strengthens it.
