This my 1st attempt at making my own wingbone calls. I try to use as much of the bird as possible and, this is just another great way to use more of it. 🦃
I made them decades ago. They work great! I use two part clear expoxy. Over the decades they turned yellow. I even used my wood burner and made a turkey on one and donated it to a NWTF banquet.
Nice! I cut a hunt short the other day. Wasn’t feeling it, due to one of my dogs passing. Got into a conversation with another hunter at the gas station. Put me in a better mood so, I let him have one, his choice. He took the two piece call. I did like that one better, lol. I hope he can put it to good use. Not sure what all decorations I want on this yet.
@@huntinfishinwithDwayne I made a bunch of 3 piece calls. They all sound different.mi boil the bones after I cut them for use and then hollow out the base bones with a coat hanger. I haven’t used them in years, but I’ve called many of birds and with them. Have to take them out next week. Got a 3 year old first season. Came in quiet and hid behind a tree 35 yards away for five minutes full strut afraid of full strut decoy. I hen yelped and he worked his way into 15/20 yards. That was close enough so took him. Hopefully they Will be more receptive next week for my extra tag.
