Thank you for being here for the third instalment of the Top #Tarot Trumps Series already, where we discuss Arcanum 2 of Tarot - the Popess / High Priestess Trump.

I really appreciate all your beautiful historical Papesses and your historical knowledge of the TdM. Great collection you have there. Out of these 5 pick my fave was the High Priestess from the Tarot of the Abyss, she is gorgeous. Great video Mascha, thank you.

W❤W!! This was amazing Mascha 😍 So loved the timeline ~ it was very informative and extremely enjoyable . . . but I somewhat think you're extending your 5 to 15! 😱😂 1. Visconti - it had to be there and great choice 2. .Noblet - Also had to be there 😉 3. Loved the deck and it's a one I don't have - but I do have one fairly similar. Loved the artwork too 4. I can see why you chose this card given your connections to pastimes 5. I also have this deck and love this card too. However, I was so hooked on your childhood memories. I so visualised it and painted such a pretty picture . . .🥰 Top marks for this one dear M 👻💋

It makes me SO giddy to hear you enjoyed all 30min 3sec dedicated to Popesses and Priestesses, one of my favourite triumphs! 😘🙏🏼💙 All those extra cards absolutely had to be here, including Mitelli’s two Popes…I’m sure you didn’t object much to seeing the Mitelli featured in my video, even though only the Popes…🥰😇🤣 My curiosity is killing me, as I wonder what YOUR most historic Popesses would be in your upcoming video, my friend? Would the Visconti make your list? 👀 Yes, I myself was rather surprised by the sweet special memories the apple tree with the elder Wisewoman of the Tarot of the Enchanted Forest brought out, Boo. 🍏🌳💚 That’s been the case for me, when just one card from a not-the-usual-tarot-I-go-for has made the whole deck so special to me. Mascha, this is such a wonderful video. I loved every moment of it, and especially enjoyed the various ways you expressed your personal affinity for this particular trump. Your remarks about the Wisewoman from the Forest of Enchantment and all she represents for you were especially moving. Have made my choices, but must work out the details of what I'd like to say about them. Thought I'd place the cards in my pillowcase tonight and dream with them. 🌠 (I also agree with Julia about your lovely blouse!)

I think you took significant liberties with the concept of 5 cards, Mascha! And, as usual, we get a free history lesson, so thank you. I hesitate to acknowledge the title of a Popess when the mysogenistic Catholic Church won't allow women to be priests, and allowing women to hold secrets is represented by covering their bodies in yards of fabric (seems like covering women up is a repressive tactic used in several cultures). Off to find my idea of a High Priestess! 🙏

I hear what you’re saying, Nancy. 🙏🏼🩵 Although I have made peace with both the Popesses and Popes (with rather abundant coverage for those males too) in older tarots, as we are there with those times in history. I’m rather fascinated with the idea of a female Pope as I like to contemplate what could have been and become of the Catholic Church, if she was a thing. I too understand your point of the compulsive covering up of women in several cultures as a repressive tactic, I experienced it myself and with women I know. Thank you so much for being here, Nancy, and for this comment.🙏🏼💖 I look forward to your feature on Arcanum 2. 💕

Not an easy one Mascha, and for the first two I need to agree with you... 1. Visconti Sforza, although I like the Il Meneghello version, I'll go for the bling bling of the Lo Scarabeo Golden Visconti Tarot 2. Noblet, it needs to be the Agnes Kappler version 3. Alchemical Tarot by Robert Place 4. Venetian Tarot by Eugene Vinitski 5. The Brady Tarot

Interesting choices! I prefer my high priestesses to be more modern. I love the Wise Woman card from the Enchanted Forest. I will do my VR very soon!

Yeah, I do very much love my historic decks (not a popular taste on Tarot Tube, and I'm very aware of it🙂🙃🙂), which I set a limit to myself to 2 cards maximum per video... but for me, the card functions and their evolution are very important, hence I cannot resist my 'historic detours'... but then I very much love modern and contemporary decks too - I shall be looking forward to you VR, Gigi! ❤

Can I please ask, at around minute 8:12, the deck on the right hand side, what is the name of it please? thank you. also my favorite Poppess cards are: 1. Terra Volatile (both versions - HP and Intuition) 2. Heaven and Earth 3.Golden Wheel 4.Soprafino 5.Forest of Enchantment (I also grew up in the village with my grandparents up until I was 7, and then every summer I would return and spend it there - so I have also magical memories from that time :) just like you, I would climb a tree, mostly a mullberry tree, but we had plum and cherry trees as well, loved those days ❤)

I love that little deck, and so do I love your choices for your favourite Arcanum II cards! Thank you for sharing! 💙 I actually almost included the High Priestess from the Tarot of the Golden Wheel, but since I did not have a spare spot for her, I sneaked her into my little historic preamble...🥰 And what wonderful childhood memories we share! We also had plum and cherry trees, which I climbed to pick the fruit, but the branches were not suitable for chilling on with a book and a cat, so my late Katya😻& I used our apple tree for that. 🍏💚🌳

Do you prefer your Flornoy noblet rounded? Looks good. I corner rounded my tapestry tarot. It’s so much better to work with but I miss the pointy edges on it.

Thank you for being here, beautiful Honey Lou! 😘🙏🏼💖 Yes, when I do multiple readings in one go, I prefer my Flornoy’s Noblet with the corners rounded, as with those heavier thicker cards, it can be a bit hard on my little hands (but keep in mind, I love the original sharp corners too, but then I have 3 copies of the Flornoy’s Noblet ..🫣🤫 .. not obsessed at all!🙊🤣).
