[2.0] 5 Things You Missed in Raiden Shogun Nightmare Character Teaser, Genshin Impact 

I think this was the first time a teaser had this much lore in it. They are usually very light and all around fun, so I had to make a video about this. I have made it based on the scene we see in Raiden's teaser where she is running on what looks like a white serpent's body which is probably Orobashi. connecting this with Sangonomiya Chronicles "Her Excellency's cherished tengu general, Sasayuri, was among those who lost their lives." and the next scene is him disappearing, I concluded Sasayuri. As the only time Raiden fought a serpent was Orobashi.

I'm actually starting to feel bad for her, every archon has gone through a lot.

If she ever gets a story quest, it’s gonna be enshrouded with lots of mysteries regarding her past

All the gods in genshin (so far) are depressed. They have different ways to deal with it ig. Venti drinks his pain away, zhongli got somewhat numb ig but still reminiscences a lot. And Baal.... Let's see how this goes

I think her issue is here for Raiden is that she wants to be happy once again and like you said that she wanted that time no longer affect her nation because she doesn't want to go through the same pain she went because of "time". For her "time" is what took her friends away and she no longer wants to feel grief and sadness and she also isolated the rest of inazuma so that no one can just step in and easily change things or the way of life but in fact she wants to push people away or even the other gods because she feels like time will take them all away from her again and she'll be all alone, in with held back tears and silently grieving.

ISTG if miHoYo released Raiden's Friends, i will gacha for them, just to make her happy again.

I like how a young Archon like Baal started to suffer the burden of being able to live/survived or play the important role of an Archon to her people compared to the older surviving Archons like Venti or Zhongli, who had their own fair share of burden but were able to cope. Edit: just realized Venti has the worst way to cope, but he coped nonetheless.

No wonder she will chase 'eternity' with everything she got.

I was hoping you'd address the question of why does raiden have a vision glowing on her back when she starts running towards the other Raiden.

To summarize all the archons: Baal: *Lonely* Zhongli: *Poor* Venti: *Drunk*

if you think about it,The catacalysm is major key event in this game.think about it,the cataclysm make some really dark event in teyvat,some example like: 1.Durin attack in mondstadt,the dead of rostam that created the crimson witch of flame 2.in liyue,monster began to appear especially in chasm 3.in inazuma as we see in the video,chiyo get corrupted by abyssal power and kitsune saiguu fall into the abyss and maybe the oroboshi event too related to this catacylsm 4.in sumeru,the previous dendro archon the god of wood is killed in the same time as the fall of khaenri'ah idk about other country like fountaine,natlan and snezhnaya,expect to get more detail about that later in story.And also feel free to correct me if there something wrong

Actually at the part 3:09 it wasn't the past shogun that the current shogun chased after it, it was her twin sister, Raiden Makoto, the previous electro archon who died during the cataclysm.

So that is why she wants to implement the Eternity to Inazuma so that way they won't experience the same thing as her

This give a lot of different meaning to when Zhongli said that if Raiden Shogun were to know about his death it will sttengthen her resolve

I'm sure that every archons have their own tragic stories, but Baal's tragic story is what led her to the ideal of eternity for her nation. It makes sense, she wants everything to stay the same as if time never existed because she doesn't want anyone to suffer like her

It would be nice if you mention in game sources of where you get all this lore. Like books, mats description, world quest, random npc's. Other than that, i always love your to the point video

Her story quest or the next archon quest in general might feature both her inner and current personality trying to convince each other of who really is the real identity of Raiden, atleast that's what I've speculated since 2.0

Random fact: If you look closely at 4:00, there is an Electro emblem at the base of her neck.

the music u chose paired so well at 3:57 like, when she turned around she looked like a silent but deadly ruler, unapproachable, in a league of her own

0:07 starting the teaser you can see an umbrella in left bottom corner, similar to what the Raiden lookalike is holding so I assume they are two different people

Now we know why she's soo obsessed with Eternity. Those were good times for her. These three Archons so far cared for and still care for their people despite their tactics and approach in doing so.

or maybe that person that looked like her could've been the previous archon, and since they look so similar maybe they were family, or maybe Baal simply took the previous electro archon's form so as to make them "eternal" in her image

Down the line, we're going to be given a version update that allows us to explore the past. Similar to the upcoming fire moth update from honkai

I think Baal is not actually evil, she is just misunderstood. Her intention is good but it is presented and carried out wrongly and her actions are not properly explained which is why some people revolt against her specifically the rebellion on watatsumi island

Kitsune saiguu has the earrings same as yae and it's color red so she's probably pyro.(doesn't mean she's gonna be playable tho)

She’s possibly clinging to the past, unable to accept and move on from what she has lost. Becoming a god and archon is a major thing, not just because of the power and authority one wields, but also the burdens it places on oneself. Many of them don’t last for more than a few centuries, because underneath all that power and divine might, is a human soul never meant to walk the earth for so long. All the tragedy she has gone through, the pain of loss and defeat have marked her, taken from her something very precious and likely gave her life meaning. She knows her existence is a long one, that she will live for centuries more, but she cannot handle the guild and sorrow she feels, unable to move on and unwilling to let go of her divine power. She is caught in an endless loop that will eventually erode who she was. Whatever joys she would have would turn bitter in time, that is the mark of godhood. To live on in spite of everyone else around you fading, and if you ever let them get too close, then you too will lose something of yourself as well.

At the part where Chiyo is devoured by a beast it's descriptions are very similar to that of a Demiurge.

Y'know, I had a lot of theories as to why Baal was seeking eternity like she is... and, honestly, this was not one of them... but, I can't say I dislike it. I understand the pain of loss, and not wanting to feel it. When you have that much power, it's only natural to try and find a way to prevent it. Also, small headcanon, but, is it possible that the Tengu in this trailer is Sara's father? That familial bond could be what instilled such loyalty in her...

euthymia is the state of living without mood disturbances. commonly associated with bipolar disorder. perhaps baal left a part of her behind in order to achieve eternity, in eternity everything stays the same. people dont die. her eyes are glowing and she looks cold in the next scene after trying to grab what seems like her other half. this is just my personal theory tho :,]

Sad Immortals Vol. 5: Electro Boogaloo What I wonder is what prompted Baal to act now, when the most recent of these losses were Saiguu and Chiyo 500 years ago. The two decrees started around a year ago, even before Zhongli's fake death. Did she reach her limit on her own, or did something in particular happen to her/is threatening Inazuma which urged her to act?

The teaser reveals so much about Baal's true motives behind trying to implement eternity. It either makes sure that she doesn't loose any more people close to her, or that her people wont have to go through the same pain she has gone through. I don't think she's in denial, though there's a chance that she is, but I feel that she's just trying to protect her people, as well as the fact that Celestia is constantly hinted at being a place full of Gods with cruel motives, and that vision bearers and Archons may be only pawns for them. Maybe the Raiden Shogun is trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone by implementing eternity, so that not only will her people not need to suffer such misery she went through, by taking away their visions they wouldn't need to face the fate of being a pawn of celestial beings that her people glorified and trusted.

Ambition make people seek for power, Power leads toward change, Change can be good or bad, and example of bad change are : 1. Orobashi broke peace and invade Narukami Island which is a "change" to peace treaty and resulting Sasayuri death 2. Chiyo swallowed by beast that make her "change" and attack Raiden 3. Because people of Khaenriah seek power to "change" the world with the Art of Khemia, it led them into ruin known as cataclysm and this make Kitsune Saiguu consumed by the dark will. The 2.0 trailer said that the person vision represent their ambition so i think the Raiden issuing vision hunt decree is to stop a bad change that could happen.

Chiyo Needs to come back as a playable character. She is so beautiful

Also a couple of things, during the word interjections before each ones die, you can see short scenes. The first one shows Raiden on a large scaly body, who is mostly Orobashi. In the one before Saiguu, you can see the giant bake-danuki Iori (the stone statue we talk to in cleansing quest) behind Raiden

Maybe it's the 1st electro archon? (That raiden is chasing after) As far as we know they could look the same since archons can change their appearance as seen with Zhongli and Venti

Aaah i love it, my recommendations are filled with lore videos instead of whiny videos about genshin anniversary. There’s plenty to unpack in such a short teaser video.

I am suspecting Orobashi might be a good being like Dvalin, but the Abyss has other plans like turning him into a weapon of war. Just like how they tried to take advantage of Dvalin's pain. Since there's still no way of cleansing the corruption within them before the other twin awakened Baal had to kill him. At this point its safe to say that we can blame everything to the abyss since they're good at screwing everything up in Teyvat lol. They even tried to control the god of vortex so the possibilities are endless

Seeing raiden right now i realize this is zhongli is like in his past and if we ever encounter his past side not current we gonna be dead Man i am grateful zhongli is different now and he accepted that one day he too will "erode" away. Unlike Raiden who still can't accept it and chasing eternity becoming the person she is now.

Baal's "domain expansion" is like her safe place and also her battlefield, i think it has something to do with how she is today, that black and red planet thing behind her? i think that has to do with something that we the traveller have to deal with in 2.1

It's interesting how the archons handle their long lives and loss of loved ones differently. Venti decided to take on the form of his friend, Zhongli had long accepted it, and Raiden Shogun chasing after "eternity". It'll be interesting to see the how the other archons handle such situations in the future.

fun fact: this was posted before raiden shogun's launch. and now we knew that Raiden shogun (Ei) in this cutscene was chasing over her dead sister (Raiden Makoto) as if like she don't want her to fade away or to die, and stay with her for a lifetime, but all he had this present time was herself and her puppet (the raiden shogun) which where she pursues eternity where she stopped the nation's progress so that inazuma would not be affected by the heavenly principles (SPOILER ALERT)

The first time I watched the teaser where the scene baal runs to the girl my first thought is that her mother / the first electro archon . But your theory made me believe this more convincing to think that's her in the past than my first thought.
