Yes, the Hyundai Sonata is a good car. Its powertrains are a bit underwhelming, except for the N Line's potent turbo-four, and rivals are more fun to drive. Otherwise, this sedan has few flaws. The Sonata gets good gas mileage and has one of the nicest cabins in the midsize car class .27-Jul-2022
Power to weight ratio Sonata has 1415 kg mass and only 152 hp. Civic although 1.5 litre with 127 hp hut Turbocharged and only With a Vtec as per Honda and CVT. Also civic ways a bit less. 1390 KG. With the car having turbo, vtec and CVT Civic would win but it would take some time to build spee, bcz CVT has less initial acceleration then Sonata Auto transmission.
Still credit goes to Sonata for performing great! Sonata has naturally aspirated engine that gives constant acceleration, has heavy weight, larger body being D segment while Civic is lighter in weight, Small car C segment and has a TURBO engine that is good in acceleration when kicks in. Sadly civic has zero built and comfort with no luxury factor!

Sonata is way better than civic, its a premium car that can compete with Toyota crown and even lexus.... Civic can just perform well in drag race otherwise it can't reach the Luxury of Sonata ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥

Civic Oriel 2022 and civic RS 2022 share the same engine 1.5 turbo however according to honda it is the difference between transmission RS has LL-CVT which gives it more power Oriel and Standard both have M-CVT which produces less power RS has a bunch of feature called Honda Sensing which includes : Rain sensing vipers, lane assist, auto head lamps, brake assist and adaptive cruise control RS also has totally black interior with red stiching and carbon fiber along side ambient lights on door RS also has a truck spoiler and paddle shifter (Which is a gimmick) Oriel has non of these features hope this helps

@@hassanmushatq156yes bcz turbo doesn't spool right of the line, it takes time it either builds at a certain speed or at a certain RPM. Civic's turbo spools after around 80km/h
Rolling race means , that both cars are at the same speed, e.g 40km/h as soon as both drivers press on the accelerator the cars pick up speed from that 40km/h.

civic oriel is 1.8 engine which produces 138 horsepower with 169 Nm of torque, On the other hand sonata 2.0 produces 152 horsepower with 192 Nm of torque. So sonata has extra 14 horsepower . but why Civic is faster on road? Because Civic's weight is 1267 kg as compared to Sonata's weight is 1450 kg. So Sonata is 183 kg heavier, and extra 14 horsepower is not helping here. That is why civic was slightly faster. In case of Civic 1.5 Turbo which has 170 horse power with 220 Nm of torque. and Sonata 2.5 produces 180 horsepower with 232 Nm of torque. And the weight is same among all models on both side. so in my opinion 1.5 civic turbo vs sonata 2.5 will also show us similar results.
Civic oriel 11th gen is 127 hp and 180 nm torque. Also all civic a 11th gen models come with 1.5 turbo charged engine the difference is of CVT. RS has LL-CVT, which enables more power. Oriel and Standard both have M-CVT which can't handle that much power but can easily sustain around 200 HP. As for the mass. Civic jow weighs a staggering 1395 Kg, in fact Civic 11th Gen is the heaviest and beefiest civic model to date in Pakistan. Sonata has a mass of 1415 kg. it is not very far from Civic but why does Civic win. Well bcz it has Turbocharger and CVT. CVT might be slow in launch but it delivers linear power all through out the power curve. when Civic approaches 90km/h the Turbocharger kicks in and turbocharger with CVT gearbox plus a good power to weight ratio makes Civic faster then 2.0 L Sonata. Sonata does have more HP amd torque, but power to weight ratio, a conventional Auto gearbox and it's sluggish transmission, it start to loose the lead, and thus civic catches up.
