Ran this back in 2001-2002 season and it legit creates havoc for the opposing team. We didn’t run it too often, but when we did, man, we could stuff the stat sheet with steals and assists due to fast breaks.
Lol. Coached for over 20 years aau high school varsity and at mens military. Stop teaching the youth wrong. Every good coach knows you cant trap in open space. Good ball handlers will kill you. Might work at the developmental level but then your coaching to win something that will never happen as the higher level. Prepare these kids ro play with sound fundamentals.
Played a team in our aau semi finals tournament that play this, not a good defense tbh , it’s very dependent on the offense having 2 bugs that don’t move from the post. As soon as a big learns to pop High post this defense virtually gives away points
