in this video we put the head that's fresh from the machine shop back on the danger ranger. its a 2.3l ford ranger race truck that we test and tune on his track.
That engine sounds incredible. I am not into racing and dont know a whole lot about cehicles but if I had to guess no way would I say 4 cyl. Love how the mean race engines idle so rough but add a little more fuel and its like poking the dragon.
Man why not the 2.5 they made for those trucks. I ran mustang in a minstock car class when I was 10 on asphalt no fqd by the way the rwd mini stock class but we was allowed to run the 2.5 Ford ranger motor and stroke them out to a 3.0 stroker and turn 11l rpms qe was crazzy fast on 8 inch slicks lol rest of car was stock besides motor and we ran a holly 500. I still got parts for the 2.3 in my shop like racing 510 lift cam custom ground and a few beautiful built heads that pass tech barley and will pick up the truck alot down straight away mine sounded like a monster v8 qith a big lope to it lol I miss that class. They just started this truck class like the truck you working on so I'm throwinge one together right now as well. I currently race pro truck metric clip tube frame out with a arp Toyota tundra body and a 604 crate motor qith 850 cfm vanderly carb.
