Well pretentious or not, they're both great bands. And judging artists by their look doesn't seem all that fair, and as such, might I suggest their live of Majesty @ Rough Trade Sessions? The comparisons are valid since they both share similar aspects in timbre and texture. But if you want to pigeon hole it, 2:54 = post-punk w/elements of grunge, Warpaint = post-rock, progressive, experimental (Beetles @ Noisevox is a solid example). I really do think they're both great bands.
@disgracelanduk hmmmmmmmmmm more male postmen as apposed to female postmen i take it...? well i have to admit i havent seen many female postmen for sure..... you have something right at last :-) well done
Good new band. They seem to have something and not be corporate. As for the comments by 'disgracelanduk' and 'TheC2theT' below. Unbelievable. You agree with each other and still manage to get drawn into playground-style antagonism. WTF. This is the problem with the Internet. People can write anything they like without repercussion. Sounds like you could both do with Anger-Management. Do us all a favour and keep your trigger-tempers away from Comments pages until you've matured a little
@TheC2theT There are more male engineers out there, more male pilots, more male fucking postmen. Doesn't matter. That's down to sexism and likely won't change. What matters is that I and Chrissie Hynde, Poison Ivy, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Liz Buckingham, Ruyter Suys, Kim and Kelly Deal, Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker, Christina Martinez, Kat Bjelland, Donita Sparks, Kathleen Hanna, Patricia Morrison and the aforementioned ladies AND MANY MORE all prove that your original statement is nonsense.
