ScoDucks2020 Georgia or Alabama would’ve beat Oregon bro stop capping. Stanford had a similar style of play that year as Alabama and Georgia, they were a strong defensive minded just not as talented athletes and that game was at Oregon so they would definitely lose to Bama or Georgia. These were the top 2 teams in CFB that year

ScoDucks2020 I see what ur saying and you have a good point it is hard to base how good teams are by just their one loss to a team, but what I was getting at was just that Stanford was a lot like Bama and Georgia that year and their game strategy was successful against Oregon’s powerful offense, so just pointing out that most likely they would’ve lost to Georgia and Bama too. Not taking anything away from that Oregon team in 2012, their offense was nasty and we will never know fasho who would’ve won if they played I just feel like Georgia or Bama would come out on top. It’s cool to go back and think about these great teams in the past and think about what could’ve been. Honestly woulda been a better game if it was Alabama vs Oregon then Notre dame

Facts. Worst part is this Georgia team was arguably just as talented as our teams from the last 2 years. And I’m not trying to take anything away from those teams, but this team had to go against prime Carolina, the last elite Florida team, and arguably the best Alabama team of all time.

At the time of the game, I had been following college football for five years. As a Georgia fan, this was simultaneously the best and worst game I had seen up to that point.

yup, even if they clock it at 14 seconds, that's 3 chances to score a TD from the 8 yard line. absolutely baffling, considering aaron murray was a 4th year junior. absolutely horrid clock mgmt towards the end

I don't understand why you think we had a chance in 2004 or 2005. Even if Georgia had gone undefeated in both those years they would not have made the top 2 in the AP poll. USC-OU and USC-Texas would have unfortunately still beaten UGA out because there was a lot of anti SEC bias back then. Don't forget that Florida had to lobby like hell to get into the national championship in 2006 to prevent an Ohio State Michigan rematch, and had it not been for USC losing to UCLA they wouldn't have made it.

Exactly! That's what I said too. Down the ball, regroup and you get two plays with 12 to 13 second left to thrown into the end zone while telling your quarterback all throw into the end zone. That's why when Richt came to Miami I wasn't all hype like everybody down here was but he did get The U to a #2 ranking.

As a UGA fan there is not a game I feel more conflicted about. This game sucked because we lost but at the same time it might have ended up being a good thing. I say this because if we won the natty then idk if UGA would be as good as they are today

Those skinny UGA block numbers are UGLY. Also, those letters on the Bama nameplates are a bit spaced out. Edit 2: UGA needs to bring back those bone stickers. Edit: after further review, the block numbers on Georgia’s uniforms are better than the curved numbers from 2013-2021.

Same old dance, Alabama gets beaten , but the trusty pass interference in the end zone trick always works . I love how that flag didn't appear until it was evident the pass wasn't caught. That old late flag that saves the day. Alabama should relinquish every trophy. They have yet to actually win one.
