Another point. Since i wwnt to that show 3 weeks ago where most of the dealera were 80-90% comps and willing to make deals, i have literally bought al least 1 card every single day and total about 118 cards! $3200 worth. Thats shows atmosphere re-ignited my love for cards. I havent spent this much on cards in the prior 6 months. But ill also say, previous shows where all the l dealers were 100-200% over comps did the opposite and turned me off to the hobby .

That is awesome to hear! Totally understand what you're saying, it's no fun when the prices are too far off to even attempt to negotiate. When I'm set up, I don't put anything out that I don't plan to be competitive on. By that, I mean within range of recent sales (emphasis on the plural) and priced below the cheapest one currently available online or at the show. Unfortunately, there's a lot of "card show and tell" rather than "card show" going on with some dealers, which can reflect poorly on a show. If you get enough dealers who are unreasonable on prices over a period of multiple shows, I'm sure many others are going to feel the way that you did.

Great video. Dynasty is my favorite set! I wonder when 2023 comes out? Also, I figured those Debut patches would be in Dynasty and definitive, not chrome update. But I guess fanatics ran the numbers and chrome update was the most profitable.

I absolutely love it too, it's a product that sells itself. For that reason, I'm not surprised Topps opted to put the debut patches in Chrome Update. It's the same reason Panini puts the Kaboom cards in Absolute for football. Certain brands have a legacy that sells itself, others are kind of "niche" or "throwaways" that need that added chase.

Good content. And good to see dealers standing their ground. A lot of videos only show deals being made at a % of comps. As a dealer myself, it’s helpful to show that selling is not that easy all the time.

Appreciate it! I'm you feel this way because I want to show it's not as easy some videos may make it out to be. There's a lot of rejection, walking away, etc that doesn't always make the final cut of a video.

Greatly appreciate that! I'm sure my taste in cards isn't everyone's cup of tea, but hopefully the thought process that goes into each deal is entertaining and/or educational in these videos regardless of one's collecting tastes.

Have not been to show in over 15 years......feels overpriced on most stuff?

I think there's different levels to it. As a dealer, I'm looking for things I feel are underpriced or undervalued. If I was more of a collector, I might feel differently. There are two categories of overpriced though. There's overpriced, yet within reason to start a negotiation. Then there's overpriced to the point where I'm too far apart to even try to offer. Perhaps that's a topic for a future video.
