2 Carter Family gospel songs - autoharp instrumental

As a "surprise guest", I played in October 2013 a few Carter Family tunes at a concert commemorating Johnny Cash and June Carter (who both died in 2003). Tunes I had also prepared but hadn't time to play are
DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH
ANCHORED IN LOVE DIVINE
and in order to profit from my practising I made now this video.
I heard both songs first from a vinyl LP, THAT OLD SONG N' DANCE, by Bo Lipari & Jim Wimmer (who played also autoharp on the album), published in 1978 by Bear Family Records, Germany.

PS: These being Carter Family songs, the "First Family of Country Music", my "Country Music hat" is surely most appropriate. Or isn't it?

Wonderful! I enjoyed both tunes but the second tune, in particular, I enjoyed a lot as it's one of my favourite Carter family tunes. Thanks for sharing, Ziggy.

That's a really cool version of Diamonds in the Rough Ziggy!! That song is very special to me and one of my favorite gospel songs you did a great job on both tunes!!

+Charles Pratt Thanks, Charlie! In my first year after retiring I travelled quite a lot, have been to England, to the US (Virginia, Pennsylvania), to Scotland, to France, to Switzerland and several places in Germany, mostly for attending Bluegrass or autoharp events ... and have still some on my agenda for this year! The down side is: I didn't find time to record new videos, and I even have a huge backlog of videos to watch and listen to, even also videos by you! I'm so sorry. I often wish I could do with 2 hours of sleep instead of the daily 7 to 8 I seem to need. I never imagined that a retiree's life would be so stressful, so positively stressful!

Hi Ziggy. I watched this video on AH FB, it's awesome!! The hat & checked shirt are perfect to compliment the music. Your video recording is so very clear & effective too. For some reason, it won't load on this site, but it might be my laptop today being finnicky. I'll try again later. Thanks for sharing with us; your playing sure inspires me!

The hat, by the way, is a straw Stetson. I acquired it in September 1974 from the Austin Army & Navy Store in Austin, Texas. :)

Ziggy, I did "Anchored in Love" on RU-vid. I made a little mistake on it (words), but I don't think anyone notice - but I did! LOL! Peace, Charlie
