For the non-equestrians watching this - This is a very expensive and competitive barn. You can easily find an affordable barn to take lessons at. The average cost per lesson is between $40-$60. You can usually get a good deal paying for lessons monthly instead of individually. And you can take lessons and compete without actually owning a horse. The most expensive part of the equestrian sport is actually owning a horse (vet costs, feed, board, etc,.)
@@MonumentToSin it's actually pretty good, the horses aren't underweight, the instructors do a good job and the place is well maintained. It's cheap bc all barns in my country are funded by the government

I know a girl who has over 1 mill in a horse and she's just only one once made a grand total of 70,000$ in the horses lifetime , definitely not an investment
And this, fellow equestrians, is why everyone thinks we’re rich, when we’re actually all broke. For the record, those prices are for the best of the best. My horse costs $15,000 (still a lot) saddle costs $500 board costs $400 etc. we don’t all spend millions of dollars on our horses 😂
my horse is a third of yours, my saddle was a little less than yours and my board is the same. I was cringing at these prices, at the end they priced a saddle at $50k 💀

This is definitely showing the most expensive side of the horse world. I showed on the A circuit and my horse and everything wasn’t as expensive as this. Very expensive, but not as bad as this. I have friends who have $5000 horses that literally just have fun and ride around and pay $400 for board every month. They have a great time! Horseback riding is a great sport, but horse showing is a privilege that SO many people can’t do because they can’t afford it.
I have a thousand dollar horse and pay $250 a month for board and my horse is my literal best friend. And she’d give me more of her heart than any of these fancy horses ever would

he's actually making it sound far less expensive than it is. he's trying to act like these are the most valuable horses in the industry, and that he has elite level horses, which is completely false. these aren't decent horses by any means lmao and $100k isn't anywhere near what top level horses can cap out at, also if you're riding or running an operation at elite level, it's FAAAAR more expensive than what he's making it out to be. I rode at top level and I run a training operation of elite level sport horses, and it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars per year just to keep it running + competition costs + schooling costs etc. etc., & that doesn't even include costs of either buying or breeding prospects, purchasing all the equipment and the facilities in the first place, and so on.

It’s up to the person though, like I personally like mark cubans style. He’s the relaxed type. I dress the same. Other people like to dress to impress. It’s just your preference, I seen billionaires with thousand dollar coats.

He wasn't acting broke, he was calculating in his mind if it's worth an investment e.g. meaning can he make money being involved in the sport. I've met people like this, and I myself am that way also. We don't act broke, we think and decide if it's worth the money.

Once my dad got a horse as a gift when the horse was small but when he grew like 2 yrs later we found out he was a friesian and worth like $50k but we still have him
