@@_DMNO_ 😂 My thoughts exactly. I've seen them pull some stupid shit, but these kind of stunts against a nation's ancient historical sites is going to get their members mercilessly beaten or stabbed one day. There are limits to how much misdirected BS aggression people can take.
@@kmick8108"pick a lane". Deb has been quite clear. They do not support the actions committed by the activists, they are only clarifying that they used cornstarch instead of paint which. They are advocating truth without picking "a lane".
Defaming Stonehenge with Spray paint should face Criminal Charges for Intentional and Willful Destruction of a National Moment even if it may wash off.
Yeah, because stunts like this help sooooo much. Man, I am pro-climate change responses, but this isnt helping. Never has, and never will. Just angry young adults throwing tantrums calling it protesting.
@@aes0p895 its all the same grift. Global warming, pollution, climate change, and what ever they decide to call it to put fear into the public. At the same time all these elites have homes off the coast. Make me understand how that works? Lol
@@debitopia"never damage anything" is a huge stretch. They shut down traffic for miles. Missed job interviews, missed important events, medical emergencies blocked (they say they let ambulances through, but they can't SEE them. They mess up traffic for miles when they block a major bridge). You got a pregnant woman in a car and you're in series trouble. To say they don't "damage anything" is...wrong.
At least he isn't taking billions of our dollars and buying up prime real estate for himself while doing whatever the CIA tells him and destroying his country for the US military-industrial complex.
3:40 It would seem to me that the punishment for intentionally defacing ancient monuments and works of art is not sufficient to deter these kinds of acts. Someone should work on that...
@@kmick8108Ah yes, typing away on the internet, truly fighting for the planet. The fact that people think trying to get media attention while doing absolutely nothing for what they claim to be "fighting" for is honestly quite sad.
I don't think you understand just how much damage they caused. The paint they used was oil based (ironic) and it essentially got dyed into the stone. It's going to take a professional Mason team that knows how to chemically restone stone but that may also require them remove a few layers. Ive seen jobs like this removing graffiti off of dyed stone, the cost was around 150,000€ to clean that, it won't just "come off".
when are people going to start treating this like it truly is. this is more than an act of vandalism and destruction of property, but this is a form of terrorism.
How in the world is these ancient monuments not protected? They had to approach with paint. Now they need to spend some time in jail have a high bond because they can’t be trusted to appear in court, have a record, be fined and pay for the clean-up. Anything less is permission.
I'm all for improving our climate but that Stonehenge segway has me pissed off. What is that exactly going to accomplish? We all hear them and the desires so, please make it make sense..
Good !! Ignoring HUMAN caused climate change won’t make it go away!! The science is sound !! We must take action now!! Our kids and their kids are depending on us !! Let’s all do our part and do the right thing!!
@@kmick8108 ...tell on me?...I've never been to Stonehenge...priceless precious historical art needs preserved protected from such postmodern vandals...they aren't important...10 years hard labor should do the trick....respect
Shit like this sucks. You're ruining cool ancient stuff and we all know the corporations won't change. Now we get to deal with ugly Stonehenge and climate change. Thanks!
npr.... i am a long time follower, but you guys are getting silly. sensationalist methods... it's not spray paint if it rinses of on the next rainstorm... sad day indeed when a place like NPR uses such clickbait tactics...
Why don’t they get out and do something productive like figure out other options for energy. Stop demonizing and start giving people a reason to change. Imagine if we had demonized and destroyed land lines years before cell phones were viable as a replacement. Nobody had to shout at you to get you to change. Get a good, affordable product and people will be able to step aboard willingly. Stop the BS!
Its very easy to select DO NOT RECOMMEND CHANNEL and NOT INTERESTED. That is what you get for these stupid headlines and burying the story until the end.
I wish these talking heads would stop calling the summer solstice the longest day of the year. It has the most hours of sunlight, there are still only 24 +- hours in the day.
@@debitopiaBy using vandalism to try and gain attention, the only people you attract to your cause are other vandals who think what you did is cool, while pushing everyone else away from your cause. It attracts the wrong people.
Hell yeah, good on those protestors. Making sure we have climate change activists in headlines often, even if its otherwise bad publicity. I just love those guys.
They missed' a spot. Actually' i think it looks a bit better' that way. 😀 gotta love presure washers. Rocks cant be hurt by paint. Only hammers & chissles. 😢
