These shorter family hikes is more my speed. And crazy that one waterfall is taller than Niagara Falls. Didn’t realize that there were that many waterfalls in GA. Now I can’t wait to see you visit all of them. Have a meter bar to show your progress.
Yeah it's pretty crazy to think that it's higher than Niagara! Yeah we got a lot of waterfalls that's for sure! Sadly I won't be able to visit a lot of them just because they're on private property and stuff no one wants to have a camera crew in their backyard 😅 Will definitely try to visit as many as we can though! Almost at 100 waterfalls on the channel visited so far. Waterfall meter in a bad idea!
My favorite would have to be Toccoa Falls (BUT....we haven't actually visited this one). It's hard to pick a fave of the ones we've been to but Abrams Falls at Cades Cove would have to be right at the top of the list. We just happened to visit Desoto Falls and Helton Creek Falls near Blairsville just two days ago (5/25). Luckily the water levels were very good and we also saw a rather large timber rattler crossing the service road close to Helton Creek Falls trailhead. Everyone loves a good waterfall! Keep up the good work in your videos!
I think Abrams falls is one of the only waterfalls we haven't seen in the Smokies yet we got that plan for this summer! I think Hilton Creek is one of my favorite just cuz it's so unique looking it looks peaceful. Definitely got to be watching out for snakes around this time of year! I remember when all the college kids were killed when the dam above the Toccoa Falls collapsed. The Kelly Barnes Dam, located above the Toccoa Falls Bible College near Toccoa, Georgia, failed in the early morning hours of November 6, 1977. Thirty-nine people died in the resulting flood, which inundated part of the campus including a trailer park.
