Porto is an incredible city that is filled with so much beauty! It's definitely up there on our list of the most beautiful places. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Livraria Lello its one of most famous in the world and where J Rollings begin to write the must famous film Harry Potter. . The ideia from stairs in films she took from Lello library. .
I was speaking with a colleague yesterday and she told me along the waterfront there are stands along the way where you pay a few euros to try the port wine. Did you see those?
There were some of those! We stopped in a place to try a Port wine flight. It's probably more common in warmer months too, and we were there in February.
We took the train from Lisbon to Porto, and actually flew into Libson and out of Porto. The train was comfortable, cheap, and super easy to use. Jealous you'll be in Portugal soon!
The bridge you guys crossed wasn't actually designed by Eiffel, it was designed by one his disciples, there is a bridge that was designed by Eiffel in Porto called D. Maria and if you arrive in Porto by train you can breefly see it. By the way, when you are narrating your trip to Bolhão, you say "one of the best places in Lisbon" 😜 Last but not least, the sound of the letter "j" in Portuguese is similar to it's sound in English, like in John or Japan. Hope you guys enjoyed your stay ✌️
We’re planning to spend e few days in Porto during Xmas holidays. Do u think we should do winery tour Douro Valley in December or we rather skip it ? Thanks to all!!
We didn't do a Douro Valley tour in mid-February, but we definitely considered it. Ultimately, it came down to us either rushing our time in Porto versus seeing the vallet. We'd love to visit again with more time so we can see the valley. If you have time, our guess is it'd be worth your while!
For this week trip, we just visited Lisbon, Sintra for a day trip, and Porto, but there are a lot of other beautiful towns in the middle. The south of Portugal near Faro/Algarve is supposed to be wonderful too!
