Zermatt is a beautiful car-free village in southern Switzerland. Since Switzerland is notoriously expensive, my husband and I decided this would be the perfect time to splurge on a trip to celebrate our anniversary. We only had two full days in Zermatt, so if you are in a similar situation with little time here, I hope this video helps you narrow down the best things to do and see!

Great job on the video. We're planning a trip to Switzerland in 2023 and Zermatt will very likely be on our itinerary.

Nice video. Efficient compact 2-day itinerary that we are going to plagiarize later this year.

do you think it's possible to do Glacier Gorge, Hangebrucke, and Gornergrat all in the same day?

Wwich month was this trip made Maggie? We are planning to visit Switzerland in Sept 2023 and have planned 2 complete days at Zarmatt. We plan to do the same itinerary too. How long was your visit to the hanging bridge and return? About the 5 lakes hike, how long is the total hike? What is its difficulty level? Thanks for your responses.

We went in June! The hike to the bridge and back was only a few hours and fairly easy. You can make it even easier by taking a gondola partway there. Just depends on your fitness level!

Hi,great video. 2 Questions...1. How much did you pay for that beautiful apartment?..and 2. Am I right in saying there's a train you can take up to Glacier Palace?

We booked the apartment on booking.com and the price fluctuations on the season so it just depends on what time of year you’re going. And there are a series of Gondolas up to Glacier paradise not trains.
