Snare fishing suckers before the spring run!
It was an amazing time snare fishing the Montreal river as it always is, nothing much can beat what Mother Nature has to offer us from fishing to camping and living off the land we are all truly blessed to just be living!!..

I’ve never heard of doing this. Thanks for sharing this! Must have to be a stiff loop in the snare piece so it doesn’t bend in the current.

It's basically a rabbit snare the wire is a 6 gauge snare wire perfect for suckers..thanks for watching

I grew up Fishing and Netting suckers for the smoker and to make Minnesota Tuna. The Iron Range was a great place to find big suckers pretty much everywhere. 👍👍

I'm amazed at your snaring. I didn't know you could do that. WOW, what a great experience seeing how you snare with a stick, found almost everywhere, and a piece of fishing line.

It's a lot more epic when there spawning a person can snare more fish or even use a dip net

I'm curious, why do you use a snare and not a long handled dip net? The net would seem easier and more effective to use, to me.
