I am appreciative of our law enforcement. This case is the most dangerous type of incident response. I hope you have a quick recovery for your officers.
im sorry this happened and wish these officers a quick and full recovery. i just hope this chief has this same kind of energy when his officers get out of line.
I’ve been in law enforcement in one facet or another for over 20 years. Sadly, the job is inherently dangerous. Unfortunately, the possibility of getting shot is ever present, every single time you put on that uniform. I understand being upset and angry anytime an officer is shot at, shot/wounded or unfortunately murdered. But, that’s the job. When (I/we) get tired/ sick of the risks involved, (I/we) will naturally walk away.
Police officers are paid well to do a job so they know the risk. Now the men and women who risk their lives working on oil rigs in the middle of the ocean are the real heroes and have the most dangerous jobs out there.
