After this video please help the Channel by watching another one of my videos and comment on it and please give it a Thumbs Up! Thanks!ru-vid.comvideos
I 90 here isthe DanRyan Expressway it bisects the 47th and 63rd NS yards. EMD locomotives are always cool you had the Alco factory and we had GM/EMD engine plant in McCook il. They built a geeps for Santa Fe and Union Pacific and others. Like you here too is a abundance of deer they like to browse along the tracks and are smart move away when they hear the trains. We have parrots here too monk parakeets size of a crow, green body, silver head and noisy build huge nests of twigs on the cell towers you have to see them to believe it. Someone almost ran into a train today , Texting while driving? Oh cell no.
I used to watch the Columbus and Greenville Railway when I was stationed in Columbus, MS, many years ago. I used to watch the L&N with their logging in Hattiesburg, MS
Really cool catches, with the YN2 Dash 9 leading with good light, and the NS dash 9 THB leading with good light! Glad those to deer got across the tracks in time :D
Nice video Wide World of Trains really enjoyed the trains here seems like deers can have better brains than humans at times also have you ever considered traveling to Buffalo New York to railfan I think it would be cool if you did like a cool mini-tour. I think it would be good for your channel especially if you did it during the summer but I understand if you like to stay locally around Dunkirk.
Shoot. That one wobbly telephone pole should be called in and reported. Not sure that would be, however. Utility company? DOT? No idea but I'm sure THEY know. LOL!
The weather sure cleared up in Western New York. Just a few days ago there was wind, snow and cold. I see that the clearance at CSX rail crossings is slim between the bottom of the car and the crossing pavement. Some day one of those bouncing rail cars is going to scrap the ground and then . . .
@@keithmoore5306 Cool! Now I don't feel so bad, HAHA!!!!!! I-90's cool. With the exceptions of Worcester, MA to Boston and from Buffalo, NY to Sioux Falls, SD, done the whole thing. Loved it in MT. LOL! Speed limit 80. ...Uhh...Or WAS there a "speed limit"? That was almost 20 years ago. Hehe! That "upper midwest" part... Was on the way to the Grand Rapids, MI area so didn't "go under", then it was off to northwest Iowa. Went the other way through Hamilton, ON and Detroit, MI, etc. Cool drive just the same!
5 trains berry road's busy!! actually the guy in the last one wasn't stuck his gate was up the moron just stopped!! 567 had an odd boxcar both doors were open normally only one is! doe and a yearling, it should leave it's mother this july or august!
Ayyye I got a triple train meet yesterday too! (The CSX Q367 with the CSX/CP lash-up, CSX I158, and NS 206). I also got the NS 315 I'm surprised there was only one engine on that train. There was also one engine on the I166 I got too.
Awesome video WWOT early yesterday am i caught a long NS BNSF 3 engine freight train heading west thru Easton PA First time seeing BNSF engines here DPU Alright!!!!!
Thanks again for the great videos! I have farmer friends in upstate NY! It’s pretty amazing that 1 engine could pull almost 90 train 🚂 cars 🚗! Even know they were probably empties! It’s still a shit💩ton of weight! I know there’s very little rolling resistance, but there’s still a lot of tonnage! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Wow Monday the 21st was a big day for videoing Trains. You didn't give out your you tube site. It was funny to here someone ask do you have train video's on you tube. lol I see some of the cars you video on sites, ( Railroad fans of the Cajon Pass ) and ( Mark Clay McGowan ) Both are in California. Mark worked for SP then UP when Up took over SP.
If I were to move 1/2 of an inch when he asked that would I messed up the whole view. You can see this a few seconds later when I zoom out how the camera shook. I'm glad I held study because the deer showed up a few seconds after
I think the deer looked like a doe and one of last spring's fawns, nearly ready go on its own but just hanging out with Mom. I LOVE the old EMD units, the road doesn't matter so much to me. I love survivors. NS 9376 was earning its pay that day, 4000 horses working their tails off and not missing a beat. Looks like you had a very nice day for filming on Monday, no snow flurries!
It's a shame I wish the Norfolk Southern had a dpu on it the Norfolk Southern train that was good it was interesting because here in langhorne about 2 weeks ago langhorne Pennsylvania that is I seen a freight train with a dpu NS
with the price of diesel right now they're going to run light as possible no matter what! besides i don't think most of their fleet has the gear to run DPU to tell the truth!
Deer are unlikely to cause much of a problem to a heavy freight train if hit it but a herd of cattle might be a different proposition and it's why British railways are fenced off.
I always said that people don't have the sense that God gave a deer most people nowadays if they were a deer they would stick their head in the wolf's mouth to see how well it fit
0:55 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 21 February 2022 looking east as CSX train #Q567 approaches. At 2:14 the lights on teh Mile Post 44.8 signals turn on. AT 2:20 we hear the motor on the Berry Road crossing gate start to lower the gate. At 2:49 the lead engine of train #Q567 starts across Berry Road. At 3:23 a former Columbus & Greenville Railroad late 1970s Per D?iem boxbar with LRS reporting marks appears in the train. After the train passes Berry Road, you zoom in on the end of the train. We see that train #Q567 is blocking the Lake Road and the Martin/Willow Road crossings. At 4:57 the gates at teh Lake Road crossing go up. You mention that the bridge that we see over the Norfolk Southern and CSX tracks is the I-90, New York State Thruway, bridge. At 5:37 the gates at the Martin/Willow Road crossing go up. 6:24 You are looking west down the CSX tracks from the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 21 February 2022 as we see the headlight of CSX train #Q568 about three miles to the west. AT 6:29 you zoom in on the CSX train #Q568 as it comes around the curve from the Brocton, New York area. At 7:23 a deer comes out of the trees on the left side of the CSX tracks. At 7:42 a second deer comes into view and both deer continue across the CSX tracks to the right of the tracks. At 8:21 the ditch lights on train #Q568start to flash as the train approaches the Martin/Willow Road crossing. At 9:20 train #Q568 to cross the Lake Road crossing. The vehicle bridge that we see in the background is the I-90 bridge. After CSX train #Q568 passes Berry Road, we watch as the lights go out on the signals at Mile Post 44.8 at 12:24. At 12:44 the gates go up at the Van Buren Road crossing. 12:54 WE are still at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 21 February 2022. We are looking west as CSX trarin #Q368 has past the Van Buren Road crossing and is approaching the Mile Post 44.8 signals. At 13:11 the lights on the Mile Post 44.8 signals turn on. The train is powered by two CSX engines and two Union Pacific engines. At 16:32 you zoom in on the end of train as it blocks the Lake Road and the Martin/Willow Road crossings. At 17:08 the gates at the Lake Road crossing go up. 17:33 We are looking west from the Berry Road crossing as another CSX trian approaches. At 17:40 we see the ditch lights flashing as the train approaches the Martin/Willow Road crossing. At 18:08 the train approaches the Lake Road crossing. This train is a short train because before it crosses the Lake Road crossing the Martin/Willow Road crossing is clear for a truck to cross the tracks. This must be CSX train #C750, the Dunkirk Local. At 19:21 the Dunkirk Local knocks down the right signal on the Mile Post 44.8 signal. At 19:44 the lights on teh Mile Post 44.8 signals go dark. At 20:00 the gates at the Van Buren Road crossing go up.20:17 You are looking north on Berry Road from the Norfolk Southern and the CSX train tracks as two deer cross from the left side of Berry Road to the right side. You speculate that these two deer are the same deer that we saw earlier in the day crossing the CSX tracks before CSX train #Q568 came from the west toward Berry Road. 21:13 We are looking at a Norfolk Southern train approaching us. At 21:55 the gtes go down at the Van Buren Road crossing. At 23:17 we hear the motor on the gate at Berry Road crossing lower the gate. At 25:56 you zoom in on the end of Norfolk Southern train #315 on 21 February 2022. AT 26:42 the gates go up at the Lake Road crossing. 27:41 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York on 20 Gebruary 2022. At 28:02 the lead engine of CSX train #I158 hits the Berry Road crossing. At 29:24 a mid-train DPU appears in train #I158. 20:42 Your Outro starts and continues to 32:47. Thank you for documenting these trains and the deer crossing the CSX tracks and Berry Road on 21 February 2022. That was neat seeing CSX train #Q567 heading west at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York and then a little later CSX train #Q568 comes past Berry Road on its way east. CSx train #Q568 was closely followed by CSX train #Q368. There was a lot of action at the Berry Road crossing on 21 February 2022.
Kinda hard to do when filming at nearly full zoom, any movement would have messed up the view. And its a good thing I stayed with it as the Deer came out right then
@@Cnw8701 the electric motors sound like an oversize fan running what you're hearing mainly is the diesel and the turbocharger which is drowning out the electrics!!
Around the mountain when she comes ! Great long distance photography, great in timing with the signal lights. Sorry to hear about the poor timing with the new WWOT subscriber. 🤗👍🤩👏
I have a suggestion for you are you close to a rail yard that would be a awesome video of how the trains are put together before departure and your channel is awesome from Kevin James Stout , High Prairie Alberta Canada
@@kevinjamesstout5119 not a problem you might also try assembling a freight train that might bring up more! i found stuff from 1930's england on steam trains on here by the search bar you'd be surprised just how much old railroad film there is on here once you get looking!
Good job Wide World Of Trains that CSX long train was awesome, I like the CSX with the 2 deers that were on the tracks, I'm glad that they didn't get hit. And I like the others CSX trains that and the Norfolk Southern train that was awesome. I like the video it was awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing!
Hmm let's see, poor focus? Oh I see now. You're mistaking poor focus for a zoomed in shot one and a 1/2 miles away, that happens when you have heat waves from the sun radiating up and such a long distance zoom. That's why the picture gets better the closer the train gets to the camera.
@@WideWorldofTrains OK I think I know what you are saying. When in Australia sometimes my AF Canon would focus on the mess fence keeping the animal in just behind the mesh. Fence clear as a bell, animal out of focus. Thanks!
How do trains not catch up with each other if they are on the same line and going about the same speed i am new at railroad stuff would be nice if someone could chime in
