2 Designers Transform The Same Walmart Lawn Chair | Custom Crafted | Architectural Digest

We gave a pair of designers with very different styles one day to completely transform the same folding lawn chair, turning one of the most familiar furniture items in the world into something more personalized and expressive. Furniture designer Alex Hsu operates with a thoughtful, playful and craft-focused philosophy while artist and furniture maker Lauren Verdugo describes her work as sculptural, functional, and sustainable. Which directions will inspiration lead our designers when they turn their eyes towards redesigning a classic outdoor furniture piece?

@@adamharris5003 There's a reason that some chairs from designers like Arne Jacobsen and Marcel Breuer become classics, because they find a way to marry form and function. It's very hard to do.
