I don’t have phythion or the other fusion.. and don’t have the souls for the other 3.. even on normal, I can barely get it passed the first icon under his health bar before it wrecks me… had one battle go for 12 minutes and the boss was still pretty much full health 🤷
@@MikeB-nn4nhI have pythion, gnut, godseeker, geo, venomage. No matter what I do, solo strats / team comps. I can’t beat him. And my gear isn’t bad either
Ash did us a big favor in making a complicated boss approachable. It's on us to fill the roles and reach the stats. Helped me a lot. I can't quite win yet but I see what I need to do. Since more accuracy in my case to land the decrease attack and heal reduction.
Idt it is. Anyone who's played for a couple of years has a bounty of champions laying around that are fun to use and probably have been built but just don't have a home. It's nice when a game mode lets you use the full breadth of your champion collection.@@jasonmullinder
What an awesome boss guide. Very straight and to the point. Doesn't get bogged down by the mechanics, just keeps everything simple. I love that. I have zero hope of getting to the boss this round, much less tackling him but, yeah. This boss guide is so good. Will definitely be saving this for future reference.
Ash I know its old video but you are using the heal reduction on the boss in alt form for no reason. Then you are getting outrunned on Venomage cooldown ^^
Ash, massive respect on this one. Both for your essential breakdown of such challenging content and for being an endless source of positivity in an otherwise often toxic community and world.
I would argue with you about this being a toxic community in the world. When there are such positive people, who are using outlets and resources to reach out and advertise positively, a global consciousness. I think Anyone in your position needs to take mindfulness. Check and re-evaluate how much they are doing to appreciate the work that you are sending out to the world. Which is huge because we're talking about a global community. You're sending out a great message almost daily sometimes which is amazing. We should have more of our politicians dedicated to using some of their funding to help our fellow human beings/brothers/sisters/etc. to change one problem forever. I think that's what we need to do at this point. Fix things one step at a time!
i like this format for a boss guide, where you talk about the must haves and give some options that fit. i think coldheart is a good pick for a video like this as it being a rare is more accessible to most players. i dont have any of the legendaries that you used. i havent unlocked my Mithrala yet (only recently started getting shards on my hydra keys). i think by the time i get to this boss ill probably have her. i think the team ill be using based on what i currently have available is AB Pinthroy, Ursala, Skimfos, Ma'shalled, and either Rector Drath as a backup reviver for Ursala, or Godfried Brassclad as a death protection for someone and an increase def buff. id get some bonus damage from the decrease defense chance on the A1 as well with Brassclad. my concern is my team being too squishy. we'll see when we get there :D
I'm not sure if you've looked, and I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but you're limited to certain factions. This rotation is Dark Elves, Skinwalkers, Lizardmen, Barbarians, and Sylvan watchers.
How important would you say is the awakenings on your champs? Asking cause your Venomage had half life issh + no shield and still was barelly damaged with the A1 (which is what I can''t seem to tackle in this boss)
I gotten couple of enquiries from my clanmates as to why the boss would attack randomly outside his turn, thought I would share this as I see many CCs neglect to mention them. It is due to the boss' Scarlet Eclipse passive in Alternate Form, whereby if your champion procs cycle of magic (most of the time is due to this mastery) at the start of their turn, you can choose their skills to use, butttttttt the boss will cut in with his hard hitting A1 on a random champion and if he manages to kills that champion, he's gonna go again instantly with the A3 that swaps your buffs to negative buffs, its a chained combo move that usually cripples your entire run. If I were to be quite detailed with my masteries, I would say Venomage cannot have cycle of magic, while I let Mithrala and Pythion have it because the tendency of them procing is lesser since we just use their a1 mostly. I use a Krisk too and I didn't bother changing out cycle of magic, this is just me playing with RNG odds but for anyone that is frustrated enough with this, you might want to consider changing your masteries.
@@michaelmatthew7352 It's not just cycle of magic. I think he's bugged. His skill description says any cooldown decrease will trigger it. I am running Pythion, Mithrala, Venomage, Skull Lord and Ukko. I went through their skill descriptions, masteries, artifacts, and accessories looking for anything that would affect a skill cooldown. I can't find anything, but this boss keeps triggering Scarlet Eclipse constantly, then we wipe. No refresh, no reflex, no cycle of magic or cycle of revenge. Something is not working as written.
i beat him with mithrala-elva-pythion-coldheart-krokmar yesterday already, after 4 hours of trying... i had to use coldheart instead of venomage because shes the only heal reducer with 6star blessing and reasonably low hp at 50k (had to change the blessing to faultless defense additionally to make her tank the single target nukes). gave her 400 acc (+mithralas aura) and switched the krok from damage to brimstone-accuracy-support too, i needed him for his passive, reducing the bosses attack by 30% so that no one died anymore and because mithrala had only 1star brimstone and i needed another brimstone user to kill him off, since i had to deal with coldhearts rng on the A1 not placing heal reduction at the correct time and amius healing back to half again a few times.... with the extra brimstone procs it worked though. good job on your end too ;)
I'm actually enjoying this content, it gives another reason to try some champion who you doesn't even want to build... sure it's not for early to mid-game but, its there, no need to rush it, consider it as bonus content for you to try your champ, and probably another reason to actually build a variety of comps among faction so you have something to use not just for faction wars, but for this content... overall, Im having fun since I took my break from the game
I was very excited about cursed city until I saw the 20 awakening levels ,now I just do what's required from advanced quests, another huge fail from plarium. Thanks for the info very helpful, happy holidays
Why don't you try the content before you complain? 20 awakening levels is for the hardest content, and if you haven't been playing long enough to have 20 awakening levels, then you probably won't get that far in the first place.
He can't post the builds because then the click bait ass headline wouldn't fit. "2 EASY tips". Except the acc, hp, spd, and def requirements are astronomical and unobtainable by anyone that doesn't spend money
Another example of why you are one of my favorite content creators in any game. Thanks Ash, even though this only worked for me on Normal. For Hard, I presume that I don't have enough awakenings, and stats. At some point, he just A1's until my teams fry up. Would be curious to know the important stat thresholds. Oh, and silver thresholds to gear just for this boss, just for this month.....
Hey @ash This video helped me out alot! I had studied guides on the fight, and tried it many times - since sintranos release - but there's one thing you said that made it all click for me! Watch the A3 timer to determine when you place Heal Reduction. I started doing that, and, BOOM hard Amius down :) Really though, great video, and simplifying the fight really was the key for me.
Thanks for this video. I was stuck on beating this boss on normal mode (can’t earn the 3rd key to try hard). Very frustrating!!! I watched many other videos but they didn’t help. I had the champions you used (this is unusual) but not nearly the gear and stats. However, with your tips, I was able to beat the boss on my first try! It took much longer than you and champions died, but I only need to beat this boss once a month!
Thanks for the video Ash. I am finding the Sintranos city content neat, I do see how so many people are frustrated with the mechanics of this boss. Given how so many people already have to shuffle around gear for an astounding amount of silver to begin with, and the champion check this boss provides, I can see more players not wanting to do it. I like the challenge or it, and I am thankful of your posts, but I'm end game and this boss frustrates me. I'm going to look at this boss much like how I do live arena now, and that will be a lukewarm, eh. I don't know of the people at Paylarium forgot that this was supposed to be a mobile game, not something where we need a cadre of people and 33.33% repeating of course type of analytics to pass through content. Your videos however, are as always top notch! Thanks!!
thanks for the vid ash! encouraged me to try again after several attempts and I cleared it first run! the ukko call and telling us to not care for anything but the dec atk / healreduction made it way easier
Hey ash, long time viewer, comment occasionally, although I'm not sure you've ever seen them before. But as you get over 100 a video, don't blame you for not getting to them all, but i hope you can find this one, as I think I have a few things to offer to this conversation. First of all, thank you for making the video, it didn't teach me anything I didn't already know, but im sure it will help some players. That being said, after banging my head up against this boss all weekend long, I do think it needs one specific nerf, which takes this boss to far, and I'm not going to lie, has me on the edge of weather or not I want to do this every month. I technically did beat the boss, but I didn't beat the boss, and if you haven't guessed where my problem is, it's that I beat him 3 times, in eclipse form... I think that for me is the straw that does break the camels back, and if you can talk with plarium about this boss, I hope you will have read and remembered this comment, and ask them to remove the part that makes you have to beat the boss, when he is not in eclipse form. I've never been so discouraged about a game mode than I was on the 3rd run that it happened. I know I will beat it and I am stubborn, but many players won't be, and the first time this happens to them, I would not blame them for leaving the game for good. Thank you again if you did get to this comment and for the video and also for all the wonderful charity work you and your company do especially this time of year. All the best and a merry Christmas to you and your family.
I'm proud to hear you helped out a local shelter. I suggested that in a comment months ago. I'm trying this strategy on normal and it's not quite doing it. My Venomage is weak. I save up resources to make major champion changes until cvc (clan first!) so Amius will wait to die.
Have to say I don't mind it! After beating the campaign gives me something new to goal on lol. Love your work man keep it up! U are always my go to for raid content!
I’m quite enjoying the whole Cursed City, the biggest issue for me is it dropping alongside the fusion. It makes it harder to build up the champs that have been sitting in the vault. A massive plus for me though is making more champions viable and expanding the possible combinations.
Thank you for the great and, above all, very understandable explanation. With your help I was finally able to lay down the boss after a few attempts and slight optimization of the equipment. I used the same team for this.
Thanks for the shout out ash. My team is not as reliant on rng as the fu shan teams, but that's just because turvold fully awakened and empowered is a cheat code lol.
You forgot to mention you need an insane gear. Im using the same team and tactic as you do, and the boss is completely destroying my team with any of his attacks. Very frustrating
So I’ve done it on normal (308 turns) thanks to your help. It really helped me knowing when to use heal reduction and decrease atk. I had no mighty ukko so I used Sniktraak. Mithrala lead Sniktraak Venomage Pythion Sun Wukong All legos had smite and sun wukong was the target of archons basic because of his max hp being the lowest. Self revive helped so I did not need to use Pythions revive at all!
Mithrala 2 red star Sniktraak no awakening but +2 empowered Venomage 4 red star Pythion 2 red star Sun wukong 4 red star There’s no way I’ll finish hard, but I’m getting there. I’m f2p, playing about 2 years.
I actually really really like this boss. I understand it's hard. But it's late game content. I thought it was different to any other boss in the game in terms of how I felt fighting him. It felt like an MMO boss. There was a bit of rng, there was a gear check, there were multiple essential mechanics that needed to be monitored. The rewards for me were all mythical. It took me research, trial and error, and my own brain subbing in a new champ relative to the guides I looked at. And after hard work(but not too hard, not 1hr plus) I did it! I think this may be my favorite boss content ever in raid.
I got stuck on normal and hard in the first town. I need to build some champs to beat the Bombal and Spider blocking my path. This is what I enjoy about this content. I now have a reason to build all these champs I have been leveling and booking in my vault. I save a copy of every champ I run across. Dupes get used as books first then food unless worth saving and building two or three of certain champs. Time to grind! I do have all the champs you use in the video booked leveled geared and halfway awakened. I just need to get to the boss. A few rotations I will be there. About to get Tormin tomorrow and hopefully he will help. I do not like new content I can beat right away. This brings a lot more to the game and I personally enjoy the update for once.
@@Neuvillete4.6 I’m lvl 50 myself and unless you spending all day grinding you not unlocking it. A casual gamer who plays for max of 2-3 hours a day ain’t making it there anytime soon, they only adding content for late gamers and higher lvl players to keep the whales trapped into the game. Why can’t the lower level people have more to do ?
one of the biggest problems is stated below here, his passive reaction on cycle of magic, he will intervene before your turn, start destroying one by one and taking extra turns the other big problem, which Ash actually got on his 1st heal reduction, is that the boss AI is too smart and will A3 before A2, swap the heal reduction My venomage isn't as fast as Ash's and so he will get both his A2 heal and the buff heal
Amius seems RNG, but he really isn't, he just responds to what debuff are on him at the time. When he is in his base form, he will prioritize A3 if he has a heal redutction debuff on. Knowing this, you can time a block debuffs on your team first (block stun from his A3), and try to apply cold heart heal redcution to proc his A3 before A2 on Amius's turn. Then use Venomage to reapply heal redution to block his A2 heal. Next thing to know is when he is in his 2nd form, if he has a Attack Down debuff he prioritizes his A2 & A3. If he doesn't then he prioritizes his A1 even if A2 & A3 are not on CD. Hope this helps.
just a thought, udk has a decrease attack and will keep the party up, morrigaine will decrease healing 100% as a passive plus is a turn base controller with speed as lead and bad el has poisons with cleansing.... not done the boss yet but from what you have described these 3 seem to fit the bill
Just wanted to let you know, @21:45 in the video, he didn't get a heal off (you had heal reduction on the boss). He died in his alternate form with the eclipse buff which revives him (and that's what I'm struggling with right now unfortunately. The timing of the HP burn / brimstones keeps killing him in the other form and he keeps reviving on me).
Firstly, big thumbs up. My biggest complaint about this boss is that he just hits too damn hard on normal mode. Since I don't have a huge roster of 6* champs and even fewer that actually have souls I never expected to clear amius on hard. But its insane when I bring everything to the table that is needed to beat the boss, but my tank gets one shot through a shield and ally protect, all because I don't have a high enough level soul. I get that the boss should be tough, but he should be reasonably beatable on normal for most players. (not sure if you've done it but you should compare the two difficulties, theres really not much difference between them)
The cycle of magic and refresh accessories passive is what is keeping me from beating him. I would have to tedo masteries on 3 out of 5 champs and regear a bunch of refresh accessories. In all reality, they just need to change the skill to active skills and nothing else.
Ash, so happy the you help the homeless/persons in unwanted circumstances. We do the same. I am currently involved in a program here in South Miami at FIU, with my concentration on people with disabilities in the workplace. Hope your New Year is amazing for you. We can tell that you are a real great person in life, who is doing what he can. Thank you and happy holidays.🌲❄️☃️🩵🙏🙌💯
Norog needs a buff. Give this poor pig something, anything of remote value on his a1 or a2. His passive is awesome for this fight, but thats not enough unfortunately.
INCREDIBLE...by far the best, easiest, and most relatable guide for this boss that I have seen so far...now just need the champions and gear to get it done...that and a lil patience... 👍
Thanks for this help, I just came back to the game and don't have pythion or elva. But I did it with 3 epics, skathix, jareg, and venomage. it's definitely doable, just rough
@ash holy cow I am looking at champs to upgrade for future rotations for Amius and Grizzled Jarl has 3 MAJOR abilities we need for Amius, Heal Reduction, Dec. Atk, and Block Debuffs! Upgrading mine during this CVC!
I adore this content man. Doom tower 2.0? free rewards? sign me up. I'm already stuck on hard mode but I am progressing well in normal mode. Its a pretty difficult piece of content but hey so is doom tower hard. I'm stoked to take on the challenge.
I did this today (hard mode), but it was tough- key for me was constant heal reduction and constant reduce attack on the second form. I used mithrala, coldheart, grinshak, scyl, pythion
Hard and normal are basicly the same. Both are on level 350 fully ascended and just hit like a truck. I don't think it was intended like this, but, yeah, if you think you're gonna have an easy time on normal with the boss, you won't
@@biljancanin Normal does indeed need to be downscaled, when he switches forms it's basically over.. At least on my part, dude never goes out of his transformation either.. He just stays in it and keeps nuking my entire team down in 1/2 hits even with ally protect bufffs and decrease attack.. There is a moment where he does seem to go back to his base form just to follow it up 1 second later with his transformation again.. Doesn't help either that there is no counter play to his transformation, dude casually takes up to 5 turns after each other and hits up to 200k...
Hey Ash, I love your content, and you're always my first go-to when it comes RAID!!! Unfortunately I'm having a bad time with Amius, no surprise lol. I've watched this video several times, run the exact same characters, and yet still can't come out with the win, please help!!!!
Ash what do you think about supersonic gear on night queen krixia??? I’m barely able to get out of the first section in easy mode I don’t think I will be able to due to my lack of champs but I feel like supersonic gear on krixia would be really crazy good
without watching any videos or reading what the boss does LOL ...i went full auto with mostly the same champs and found my team wipe really quickly... was quite funny to watch tbh.... but great vid @ash thank you
Still my favourite RSL content creator!. This might be dumb but I'm still verrrrry new to the game (I got my 30 day epic High Khatun yesterday lol) so usually when you reviewing a champ and viewing their base stats you mention if its good or bad eg. base speed is 95 then you will say thats really bad. for a newbie like me its confusing because I dont really have a good understanding on what is considered high, average and low for the various different stats. Maybe 1 day if you have free time you can make a quick video for noobs like me lol. I hope you get what Im trying to explain
I actually got stuck after finishing the first island on hard. I definitely need more champs to help with them. But this video actually makes it so much easier to understand how to properly face him. I do wonder. Wouldn't Morrigaine also work against him? the fact she can put a Non removable heal reduction on him each turn she makes, make it easier? Or would the Passive of Venomage be better since it'll reduce the damage they all take?
I had almost arrived at the same team just by trial and error. I had Skull Lord instead of Venomage. I can't get him down. Just not getting enough damage through, and he's killing at least one champ when he uses his big ability, even with Dec. ATK up. And just by cycling of abilities I'm forced to use something that heals him every so often. I don't think Ukko is booked out. Pretty sure the other legos and VM are. Very tedious though. I really hate full manual runs.
I chlallenge you to do this run with no stars on venomage or coldheart. See if the attack down does much to stop a 100% ignore defense smash that will send you in qa spiral of sleep/ smash/ sleep/ smash until you have nobody left
Thanks for all the help over the past two years Ash. I am done with this game. I really dislike the new game content. Putting Bombal and Spider out there is fine, but not allowing any champions that I have that have any chance of beating them sucks. Getting to level 91 as a F2P and having no ability to get off the first island was the punch in the gut to get me to move on. No more letting this game control my life. Good luck to you and yours.
Hey Ash I would like a guide for setting up Artak to get highest damage and survivability out of him bc mine does well enough but I have not messed with his Masteries yet...I have him set with HP,Accuracy and Speed and some ok Crit stats and defense.
I'm only halfway through the video but Vergumkaar seems to be a good choice aswell, Small clense + shield and inc def on the A2 and buff remove plus dec def and heal reduction on the A3
I love this boss, what a challenge! What a puzzle! Goddamnit plarium I was just winding down to quit, but as a lover of turn based games, strategy, maths and Sick looking armour, they got me for a bit longer I s'pose.
There are substitutes for Heal reduction... You can insta-kill him if you're a whale with allyattack teams. Or just use Cronam in a semi-solo with his Partner Champ + Wukong. Cronam needs Brimstone and good stats. Wukong will tank the A1s and constant revives and Cronams will revive himself all the time. Boss's HP is a bungee-rope and itll take forever but it will work eventually if you get the right RNG and it runs on auto
Even on normal there's bosses throughout the city I can't clear even though I farm them on hard in Doom Tower. Because of the limitations on the faction.
Im not sure if Plarium ment it like this, but there is literally no difference on the boss between normal and hars mode. Same level, same ascension, same acc requirements, hits the same, heals the same. If they did ment it like this, they have been smoking some real hard stuff
I hate this boss with so much passion, makes me hate the game. I have an end game account - 25m player power and this content is essentially locked behind those who have high level blessings of lego champions for the brimstone procs. There's stupid RNG elements here so no strategy I've found works even manually doing the exact same as videos turn for turn, with the same champions. F*ck plarium seriously. I like the stages of cursed city but this and the mythical champions are just ways to lock content to those who pay to stay competitive with the content.
I like that this boss is hard. It's supposed to be the hardest content in the game and it's new additional content that is a few weeks old. People who quit the game because of it clearly just aren't suited to this type of game in the first place. What would be the point of brand new hard content if everyone could just come in and clear it without thought straight away? So far Sintranos has forced me to use a bunch of champions I don't normally do and manual stages and that's great. Probably the S area, whatever it's called, will present numerous stages I simply can't do and that's totally fine. It's content for the future. If I could clear it all first run that would be super boring! And yes, this boss drives me mad, I've rage quit on it a few times, but only for the session, I come back and try again!
