@@awkweird_panda Not a student of literature, but I really love reading/listening to traditional Hindi/Urdu poetry. Have been doing this for many years (more than a decade now), so I have seen people having similar discussions about the grammar and norms of words in Hindi that are sourced from Urdu, or Arabic languages. Though there is a downside of this as well. Every time I listen to Some of Us from this EP, I can't get over the fact that Kr$na says "Khush Misaaj" instead of "Khush Mizaj". I love the song, but that pronunciation really pinches me. Till now, no reaction channel has caught this, maybe Bhola would since she does voiceovers as well.

I think that over a period of time words also get their own local colloquial pronunciations, and this is likely one of them.

Also I totally get what you mean when you say it really pinches you hearing people mispronounce stuff. Well I am not as knowledgeable as you about languages and their pronunciations (didnt even catch on to that "khush misaaj" and "khush mizaj" thing either) but I can tell you it really irks me too, specially when people dont use the nasal sound in words like मैं and हैं . They will just say मै and है . Totally forgetting about the bindi(.) at the top. I know its a just a minor thing but its really annoying. But again as Jojo commented above, words can definitely have their own local flavour. These words get a local colloquial pronunciation over time so you cant really blame them🤷🏻‍♂ Anyways, hope you can overlook that tiny hiccup and enjoy that track. Keep vibing to poetry and music and keep sharing your knowledge with us🖖🏻
