The name of the sandwich comes from the name of the city Hamburg, where hamburgers (the sandwich) originated. Obviously the name for the people from Hamburg is also derived from the name of the city. So both the English and German versions have the same root.
Do the germans say both? Because once in Frankfurt I told someone I ate a frankfurter and they thought I was a murderer (I was referring to the frankfurter sausage!)

I am so ready for a sport that can mix ice hockey and soccer into one. Imagine a surface you could stop on a dime like soccer but also be able to glide and slide like you're on ice. Future where you at??
Now if only they had sticks and instead a big orange ball they had a very small round black thing, maybe call it a puck because you know pick-it. Oh and lets make the nets smaller and if anybody gets mad, allow them to take it out each other because fight shall be legal.
