@captainblacktooth371 Switzerland has a higher per capita gun possession, in fact many military reservists keep SIG 550 assault rifles at home, and rifle training can start as young as 10 years old. Their homicide rate at 0.5 deaths/100K per year is less that 10% that of the US. OTOH, Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador have far more restrictive gun laws than the US their murder rates are 3-5X that of the US. It's NOT the guns, it's the CULTURE. Get that much straight.
I find it interesting that the CDC has listed gun violence as one of the leading causes of death among black Americans. No other race or ethnic group has that distinction.

I worked in Oakland in 2006-07 and it was number 6 out of 10 most dangerous cities only behind Richmonds Iron Triangle, number 4, north on I-80 in Contra Costa County. Statically, there was one and a half murders daily in Oakland. My sister's mother-in-law was robbed at gun point on BART. A friend's coworker was killed on a beer run during a family celebration. My nephew's teacher was nearly beaten to death, eventually taken to the ER by taxi because an ambulance never responded. Fast forward to today in a political environment that defunds and restricts law enforcement, legislators decriminalizing existing criminal codes, repeat offenders being released by progressive prosecutors and judges......yet, the public keeps voting for the same candidates! Governor Newsom won a recall 2 to 1 against Larry Elder, a black conservative. Newsom called him more Trumpism. The LA Times referred to him as " Black Face of White Supremacy ". Elders campaign entourage was assaulted in Venice Beach, went unreported by MSM for several days and no one was arrested! California and the entire " Left Coast " major metropolitan cities have become shitholes but the public keeps voting for those responsible or should I say irresponsible! 😮
