What kind of rods and reels are you using

Circle hooks you just pick up the rod and rel

Okuma longitude 10ft surf rods are the best surf rods for banking cats! In the store they feel stiff but it's very deceiving. I've been able to control many just under 50 lb flatheads and blue cats with them and you can lob a good long distance but they're still sensitive enough to catch a 1 lb channel while quite affordable. The only thing I would change is I wish I had white or a good reflective color at the tip but that's easy enough to change. I'm interested in trying out the Okuma Komodo 400 size reel on this rod but baitfeeder spinning 8000 series pair very well.
