I live on my own and I suffer greatly from Depression. At Christmastime, my daughter brought me in two very young Budgies. They're just amazing as they happily chirp and sing and dance the day away. We just got our first budgie. We play this video so he can hear his friends singing as he gets adjusted to his new home. Your birds are gorgeous by the way. I love that light teal one with the yellow face. Beautiful happy birds!
Yesterday I just brought home a very young sky blue parakeet, we had purchased the best things in Amazon for him, but he spent all day in a corner not eating, until I play this video for him... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! Thank you, you basically save his life

Cool! They are so cute! I used to love visiting my local pet shop in Wales to see the budgies (I can't keep pets where I live) as it was relaxing, but now all the small pet shops have closed and Pets At Home don't sell birds, I never get to hear them so I searched and found you :) I love your variety of colours! Can't wait for more vids =)
what geographical area are you in? im in northern california and im afraid to put an aviary outside my house because its so cold. if i build them a warm room in the aviary can i still keep them in cold climates?

OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH! I got budgies but one of them got a chest infection within two weeks of me having her. but between going to a new place, getting sick, and then getting grabbed to go to the vet she was so stressed she wasn't eating or drinking much which means she wasn't getting her medicine. I put this on and my ipad up next to their cage and within ten minutes they were both eating and drinking their medicine like champs.
That's great...It's always a relief to see them get better after being sick..I know what you mean about taking a sick bird to the vet...That stress alone can be life threatening to a bird..

This is a great video of gorgeous birds. I have one solid white parakeet now; she's well over 10 years old. Originally there were 4, but the others had shorter life spans which left Tweety very lonely & bored. Your video entertains her a lot & helps me go to sleep! Thank you, especially for making it so long.
I love this aviary so much. Your birds are all so healthy and happy. I wish I could have an outdoor aviary, but I've turned my den into one and it's not the ideal situation.
I live in a basement apartment with no windows. My birds are all healthy and chirpy. I found you can buy a special bird light bulb which makes the light like sunshine, which I will soon get. Expensive but worth keeping them healthy.
My 1st budgie was with me for 11 years miss so much 😭, 30 years on I decided to get two this time ,they are adorable, I tamed them within approx 2weeks,(Buddy,Bobby) I love them so much, they love listening to this video you made ,Thank for putting the time in wish you well ,from Manchester uk XX
I think this winter (2018) any birds I decide to keep will be brought inside as I lost 3 really good birds due to the severe change in weather last winter.

Awesome video, thanks for taking the time to share. Captain black my cockatiel lost his partner, I haven't seen him so happy for a long time, he loves this video more than th cockatiel aviary for some reason, the budgie range is massive, lot of tunes & whistles they belt out. My bird loves it. Great video. But the galavanized wire eventually will kill your birds. I had cockatiels and budgies die from it before i knew better.

My very young budgies loved it and start grooming and stayed out on their play area for a couple hours. They usually jump down or want back in their cage! My birds are just 3 mo.
Hello with how many couples you started the upbringing of your parakeets it is true that it is bad to breed between brothers because I have parakeets that have raised calves. and now they are adults and I want to know if it is good to put them together so that they will grow up ... I've had my parakeets for about 3 months, (i got them for Christmas!!), and I've gotten my boy to step up and be comfortable with letting me have him on my hand, but he's very jumpy when I do. He always wants to go back into the cage. The girl is even worse; she's terrified to death of me. Whenever I get close to her with my hand, and I make sure to move very slow, she flies sporadically around the cage. She tries to bite me and doesn't want anything to do with me. I've gotten them toys, and I keep them right next to me when I get home from work, but nothing I do is working to get them to want to want me. Does anyone have any advice? I know it takes a while to build trust, and I want to make sure I'm doing it the right way, because I love my two little goobers so much. Help!!!
Seperate the birds and put them in a dark room when training because they will distract each other. The dark will calm them. Try rubbing cuttlefish bone on your fingers (they love it) to also calm them when training. Some birds take forever! Good luck
My parrotlet is very shy too. I can't pet him. He won't play with his toys. He always go back to his perch in the cage even when I built him a perch outside. 1). Don't put finger in the cage. Use millets and stick it outside the cage. Let the bird come to you. It might take a while. Your finger is like pointing a gun at him. If someone comes into your house with a gun, would you be scared? Also some people recommend that you sit near the cage and just read out loud a book. This way your bird hears your voice. Then put your hand on the cage. I know it will fly to the farthest corner or stay there. By not moving your hand, your bird will eventually get used to it that the hand is not a threat. 2). If the bird does eat the millet from inside the cage when you hold it outside the cage, later on, try putting it by the door with the door opened. Let it come to you. Birds are hungry in the morning because throughout the night they didn't eat. So try taking away their seeds and put the millet through the cage. Let see if they'll eat the millet. Do it like this for 5 - 15 min. Then give back the food. Later, try this exercise again and see if your bird does eat millet through the grid. 3). After you practice giving the millet by holding it with your hand for several times or days, next put the millet on your palm by the opening door. Let the bird come to you. If it comes to your hand and eat, that's great. 4). If success, then put some millet seeds on your palm and try putting some of his/her food on your palm. Again, let see if the bird comes and eat off of your palm. 5). If success, then next time hold the millet stem between your thumb and your middle finger. Keep your index finger straight out as a perch. Let see if the bird comes and climbs onto your finger. If it does, then you can start Step Up command. If it does, I would buy a clicker. The moment the bird climbs onto your finger to eat the millet, say STep Up and click the clicker right at that moment. Your birds seem to have enough space to play and be happy. Kuddos to you ! Recently a female budgie that was lost on the street , and apparently unable to fly, was brought to me by a friend. She is untamed and has spent a lot of time gnawing at the wood and insulation at the border of the skylight. I have not caged her, of course, but I have watched sadly trying to ( as I surmise) to make a hole somehow on the roof to fly onto freedom! On the other hand, it seems certain that freedom means a quick death, at the claws of some predatory animal, or due to the certain change in the weather to cold temperatures. According to the web sources there is no habitat in the USA for these birds to survive since Florida is no longer an option. Does anyone know where I can take her so that she can have freedom and survive? Thanks!

Ive had a budgie for nearly a year and im still kind of getting him to trust me ive let him out in my cage and hes been on my hand and eaten. I literally just let him out and he refused so i played this randomly and he got on his swing and i managed to get him back just by that im going to get him a female friend soon so this should help until i can sort it out. My cousin has a female shez white and has a small bit of greeny blue i think its on her chest a similar to the ones you got there weve i said we can try them two together how do i go about them trying to get a connection as we only live 5 minuets away so its trying to work something out which may be tricky. Any help or advice will be very helpfull!!
