I feel the same way! I play bedrock though, so I can't change versions :/ It's really annoying. If I did, I'd probably go anywhere from 1.11 - 1.16 though Heavy agree on everything after 1.16 feeling unnecessary. Caves and Cliffs is super cool sometimes, but the huge caverns are kind of annoying, and the other things that came with it are kind of weird. They've also done major updates four times in the past three years, which I feel is excessive.
